Question about LG GT540 Cell Phone
I had the same problem, and fixed it by very gently bending the Micro SD pins up a little. See the picture below, remove battery first, get a very small screw driver or other implement and one at a time bend each of the 8 pins up slightly, you do not have to bend them much so be very careful. Make sure none of the pins are touching when finished. So the cause of the fault in my LG Optimus GT540 phone was the pins had flattened and were not contacting the contacts on the Micro SD Card well enough. Which is a bit of a design fault really because my original card stopped working because of this and ended up fried. I done the fix above when the new card I bought and checked that it worked on my computer, but when I put it in my phone would come up with the message SD Card removed.
Hope this helps!

Remove The SD memory card Then re insert it againe and remove it then re insert it...
Do that several times 5 to 10 times, then check if your mobile has found it.
The memory base of your mobile on the board has some rust or dirt, thats why you keep remove the SD and re insert,to try to the dirt while you are removing and inserting
