Hi ktrnagulto
Probably you didn' t need to buy a new sound card . When the diagnostic said " it doesn't have a sound card installed " , this normally means rhe driver is missing and you have to go to the sound card manufacturer's site and download the driver from there . Windows 7 generally searches and installs drivers automaticaly when you go to the device manager , click on the yellow marked devices and go for an drivers update . Reinstall also the webcam driver(s) .
About your viruses , complete your computers cleaning up by downloading MalwareBytes from http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html . Let it scan
your system and destroy any remaining spyware / malware.
Best regards ,
fanaudi
will try this one sir. thank you :)
Please go back to the device manager and try to update the sound driver . Eventually , go to your motherboards site . Your sound card couldn' t have disappeared ! Check the volume settings of your system .
TIP FOR NEXT TIME : create an image of your entire system , easy in windows 7 . Go to Start and type " backup " in the search bar . Select " backup your computer \ create a system image " and follow instructions . Good luck , don't despair ! fanaudi .
Thank you sir. I downloaded the LIVE Update for my MSI Neo 468F Motherboard, and I guess it works in some ways after installing.
Yesterday, I tried to enable full control on the "DeviceDesc" files under PCI\ VENs files on the Registry Editor. My webcam is now working but the microphone is not. I succesfully updated the drivers under SOUNDS on the Device Manager (files with yellow markings) but when I restarted the computer the Multimedia Audio Controller again has a yellow mark and I cannot update it again flashing the annoying error message "The file is not valid".
By the way, I downloaded the ksuser.dll file and placed it under C:\Windows\System32 folder, before I succesfully installed the hardwares I mentioned earlier and the webcam starts working.
Now my problem is the Sound. i can't hear anything. I also tried connecting the USB SOUND card adapter i bought yesterday and still not working either.
There are different issues possible :
Try to identify your Multi media controller and download the correct driver from the manufacturer's website . Please pay attention to download the full version in compatibility with your OS .
Otherwise , there could be a problem with your XP install disc and some kind of virus is still somewhere around .
Complete your computers cleaning up by downloading free MalwareBytes fromhttp://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-An... . Let it scan
your system and destroy any remaining spyware / malware . You will solve your issue soon .
Best regards , fanaudi .

Even if you remove a virus, most of the cases, the damage cannot be repaired. Remove the sound driver and install it once again. If that doesn't work, you should consider reinstalling the OS.
reinstalled the OS, removed the external sound card and external webcam, reinstalled but didn't worked either. :(
Is it running on WinXP or Win 7?
In XP sir.

hi ktrnagulto,
After reinstalling the OS you shouldn't be having problems.
Either the OS which u installed is not good or the virus is still on your computer. I appreciate the things which u did but something somewhere has gone bad. How about i take a look in to your computer?
Oh. I think the OS is good, maybe I should run the MalwareBytes again for the virus. Yeah, the problems am having with my pc has gone far annoying. Am not that knowledgeable with computer systems, just reading forums on the net for possible solutions.
Thanks and God bless. :)
oh, is it possible? you, literally, can take a look on my pc? mail me [email protected]. Thanks sir! God bless.
