Error E000 is a failure of the fuser unit (not warming up). You will need a new fuser. It is not a user fittable part and some of the gears and brackets in the rear of the machine need to come off. if you are not a diy'er or have no expierience in working on these machines then its better left to a trained engineer. ON A CANON MF8180C HOW TO ENTER INTO THE SERVICE MODE ?

Most features in service mode are designed for trained technicians. Many options are not labeled and ambiguous and assume you have been trained by Canon for the machine.

The process to enter service mode is available by searching google. I am unable to post it here due to a non-disclosure agreement.

Guides for this are almost impossible to find online, in my experience.

System says error E000 canon imageclass MF8180c

Check all doors are fully shut including the lower left door.
Go into service mode by pressing * then #.
· Use left and right keys and find “printer”.
· find “reset printer”.
· Confirm yes to “reset printer”
· switch OFF for 5 seconds and ON again

It works for me.

Good luck

E000 error

If you can get into the service mode (I haven't worked much an these units so haven't learned the keystrokes to enter it) you can then go into the Printer menu and perform a clear. Sometimes this will clear the error and allow you to print.
Some Canon products will let you enter Service Mode by pressing Additional Functions and then the # key.
Scroll down to printers, hit set, scroll down to clear, hit set.
