That is quite normal . All inkjets run a cleaning cycle when turned on to make sure there is a good flow through the printhead and to prevent the head from becoming blocked. You cannot turn it off.

I have the same problem, but even worse : he cleans his printheads every 2 to 6 printed pages !!! It has become absolutely impossible to keep on working with this printer ! There must be something wrong ! Who can help ?

This has got to be the dumbest "innovation" that HP has ever devised! Our 8500 decides to "clean the printheads" right in the middle of "time sensitive printing" when important clients cannot stand around and wait for a cleaning process to be over. Let me manually decide when to do this procedure and I'll gladly assume the resulting risk, as I have done in the past with all my previous HP printers. If this cannot be resolved, my loyalty to HP is over!

Hp officejet pro blank pages with full ink cartridges.

Try reinstalling all of the printer software. If that does not do it then something is wrong with the printhead itself, specifically the area that controls the flow and metering of the black ink.

I have a continious inking system and ink streak. we took it apart and cleaned the ink ports and the ink runs through the tubing firn

This is not the problem with the ink supply through the tubing. But your printheads need to be cleaned hence using the HP software which is installed in your system try to clean it and it will solve much of the problem you are facing if not then you have to replace the heads.

My HP Officejet 8500 pro Wireless does not align. I have just put original HP cartridges. It shows a fail message and asks to refer to documentation

This is a mechanical problem... you need to refresh the settings on the printer.
Follow this steps to make your printer working
*Clean all the toners manually. (make sure that the printer is on) -get a clean wet cloth/ cotton swab. -take out all the ink cartridges in the printer. -use the wet cloth/cotton swab to clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridge it self. -when your done cleaning all of them, put them in a warm area and make sure that it will not leak. -go back to your printer then, take out the printhead (the one that holds the inks) then you need to clean the electrical contacts as well.
after you cleaning those toners put them all back to the printer. click here to view the video clip on how to put back the printhead. click here to view the video clip on how to put back the inks. close the cover. (the cartridge access door) when your done doing it, proceed to the next step.
*Power cycle the printer -turn off the printer. -unplug the power cable at the back of the printer. -wait for 1min. -plug the power cable back in. -turn on the printer
*Clean the toners using the control pannel of the printer -press the Setup (wrench icon) button -keep on pressing the right arrow key then, look for the "tools menu" -under tools menu look for "clean printhead" -after your done cleaning it and its ask for level 2 cleaning process, please do so. -after cleaning press the setup again, look for tools, then look for align printer. -after aligning it, you should be getting the message "Alignment Successful"
Note: If your still getting the message "alignment failed" contact HP printers support department 1-800-474-6836.
Congrats in advance! :)

It's hard to believe this story is true, but I assure you it is all true. 1- In October 2009 we purchased an HP Officejet Pro 8500. Not long after installing it we got constant messages "Printer is...

1 you said the cartridge is low.

it happens because the ink cartridge must have been used for initializing the printer which does take a lot of ink. please purchase a new cartridge and the issue will be resolved.

2 Try the following solutions in the order presented to resolve the issue. When one of the solutions resolves the issue, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
NOTE: If error messages also display on the computer, clear the error messages after each of the following steps. How do I clean the printhead or do I need to clean the printhead

Only clean the print head when you are have ink issues. And you do so with a cotton swab and alcohol on the gold etchings on the print head only.
