In windows XP you can easily restore back to a previous date before this program was deleted. To do this simply click start, click programs then accessories, then system tools and click on system restore. Pick a date in the past where this program was running and you will be fine.

Dont like the fact that I do not have the toolbars as I did in 2003 edition. How can I get back to 2003 version?

if you've recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 from 2003 and weren't happy with the decision, you can easily revert back to your older software. Each version of the Office software package will be considered a different program by your computer's operating system, so to revert back to your previous installation you only need to uninstall Office 2007 and reinstall Office 2003. Difficulty: Easy flow my Instructions
  1. Uninstall Office 2007. To do this, open the "Control Panel" and select "Add or Remove Programs." Click "Microsoft Office 2007" and then click "Remove."
  2. Put your Microsoft Office 2003 compact disc in your computer's appropriate drive. Either a CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive will work.
  3. Click "Next" to begin the installer for Office 2003. Continue to click "Next" until you reach the screen where you are asked for your product key code. Enter the product key code found in the Office 2003 packaging and click "Next."
  4. Enter your name, business name and initials (if you so choose). Click "Next."
  5. Choose which type of installation you would like to perform. You can choose to install each program in the Office 2003 productivity pack, a "typical" installation which installs only the most widely used programs like Word and PowerPoint, or a custom installation where you individually choose which programs will be installed.
  6. Click "Next" to view a summary of all of the installation settings you've specified. If you're happy with the summary, click "Install." This will install Microsoft Office 2003 on your computer using the settings you've meticulously specified.
hope that it will be help full

Excel versus professional edition 2003

Hi Richard,

take a step back, and notice that they are talking about Microsoft Office Professional 2003, and not Windows XP Professional.

If you try to open an office document, in your case a .XLS file, and it says You need to insert the setup disk, then the install of Office is corrupt, and/or there are missing files that Office cannot locate.

you could cross your fingers and see if you perform a repair on Office.
you do this from Control Panel > Add Remove Programs, Click on MS Office 2003 Professional, and click Change/Remove . when the wizard starts, click Next and choose Repair .
it may still ask for the setup disks, or to browse to the folder where the setup cache files are located.
if this is the case, and you don't have the disk, your only option is to track down someone else who has the disk, or the folder on their c:\ where office offers to save its install files for the future when it might be needed.

I suspect that you did a File Cleanup on your c:\ and either you accidentally deleted the c:\MSOCache folder (which is hidden), or the Clean Up Wizard deleted it for you.

if you know someone with a PC with office 2003, you can copy this hidden file to your flash drive, and then dump the files back onto your computer.

i hope this helps.

Alternatively, you can use Open Office, a free download , fully fledged office suite of applications. not made by microsoft, but similar enough to perform the same tasks without much hassle or relearning.

I accidentally deleted emails out of my archived

You may look to see if they are in the deleted files or the recycling bin in the program. If so there should be an option to recover then, whether it is a click or a drag on the file to move it.

Unable to fix or remove microsoft office 2003

If you cloned the hard drive, everything should work. In windows, that's what you need to do if you don't have a utility to actually move your programs to a new hard drive.
The answer to your problem is: Reinstall the program from the program CD.

How do I reconfigure microsoft office standard edition 2003?

Try repairing your office installation. To do that you will go to your control panel and select Add Remove Programs. Find your Microsoft Office 2003 and click on it like you would remove it. There you should be able to select repair instead of remove. This will repair the installation and should fix your problem.

Product key for MS Office 2003

Usually on the back of the disk case an orange sticker labeled PRODUCT KEY: and below that identification is a series of characters in a pattern of letters and numerals separated by dashes in a pattern like this: 5 letters and numbers then a dash and then another combination of 5 repeated 5 times and under that is a long barcode. this agrees with a programed feature so a "stray disk" with no owners case can't be accidentally used where it doesn't belong.

There is no chance to rollback after uninstalling the softwares not only for office. What you have to do is you need to obtain a genuine office cd with serial key and again you have to install it.. If you dont have the cd try to download it from www.mininova.org its a torrent portal.

Hope this will be helpfull.
