Switch your gamepad to 'analog' mode by pressing small button 'MODE' at the center. Light under that button should turn red (indicating analogue mode) from green (indicating digital mode).

How to Troubleshoot Vertical Lines on an LCD TV Screen

<p>There are two prevalent formats for video programming: full screen and wide screen. LCD TVs are designed to show a wide screen picture to go with high-definition (HD) programming. When standard-definition (SD) programming is watched on an LCD HDTV in its default settings mode, there will be two vertical lines on the right and left sides of the picture. You need to go into your TV settings menu to troubleshoot this issue.<br /> jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); <span><br /></span> <span>Instructions</span> <ol> <li> 1 Press the "Menu" button on your remote control and open the "Picture Settings" sub-menu.<br /> </li> <li> 2 Select "View" from the list of options.<br /> </li> <li> 3 Choose a viewing mode that will eliminate the vertical lines. There is a mechanism problem in the Pinch Roller part of the deck.

I have a Olevia 532-b12 and it may be similar. Hit the small round menu button on the remote. A pinwheel shape should appear on the upper left part of the screen. Use the up/down and left/right direction keys to find picture, and you should be able to adjust brightness, contract, etc.

MP-GT1 ERROR 50

Same thing happened to me.
The thing wouldn't power on or I'd get a "DEVICE ERROR" message on the LCD.

When I pushed the level button on the left side of the unit along with the power button the unit turns on.
I have no idea what the problem is.

Everything is working properly but cannot see anything from lcd or view finder

Hello. First thing...is there *any* display at all such as a number code in the upper right hand corner of the lcd? It will appear as "C:00:00" or "E:00:00", minus the quotation marks. If there is a "C" in front of the numbers, the problem is fixable by you--an "E" means that the problem has to be addressed by a tech. Next, to reset ALL functions back to factory defaults, open the LCD display on the side and locate the small reset button just to the left of the MENU button. Use a pen or pencil (the end of a paper clip works beautifully) and press the button momentarily. Don't use a lot of force to do it--not needed. If this doesn't bring up any display, then there is an internal circuit problem.
Can you see an image if you play back a tape? If so, then the problem concerns the CCD chip or associated circuitry. The ccd chip provides all the video information to the eyepiece and lcd screen in *record* mode. In *playback* mode, the camera acts just like a small VCR. Any video is being pulled from magnetic tape.
Is the camera still under any type of warranty? A CCD chip problem is a major repair and will be relatively costly. Do not repair the camera through a store! Find a reputable repair facility and ship it directly--the cost will be FAR less.(Retail stores take the actual repair quote, half it, and add the half to the quote *you* see.)---Hope I helped you!---Rick
