Type CMD
Press Enter
Type CHKDSK q: /F
where 'q:' is the drive-letter assigned by Windows to your Kingston.
Press Enter.
When "check-disk" has completed, Windows will remote the "write-protect".

Try it on another computer or try to format it. If it continues to give that message then you need to get it replaced at the reseller or with Kingston.

you need to reformat using the Kingston web site go there, they have a utility for such, also it should have had a small cd enclosed to do a setup.

I had same problem. I fix it with suggestion of 1st guest. I download program from site http://www.apacer.com/en/support/downloads/Repair_v2.9.1.1.zip, and program formated USB and he work fine now. TY for advice.
