I have the same problem, I bought a new battery and it behaves exactly the same. When I try to turn the laptop on after its been left plugged in overnight it claims it has zero charge and wont power up properly. I assume that it must be something on the laptop itself....anyone know what might be wrong and how to fix it?

Icons on desktop distorted can not read or move them as they should be

What do you mean mixed together?

Try this: Right Click on a empty space on the desktop then select Arrange Icons By. Then select either Auto Arrange or Align to Grid.

Why did you have someone remotely fooling with your system? If the above steps do not solve it, you can always try to roll your system back to before you had iYogi changing things. You can do a System Restore which will allow you to select a date and time before you started having problems. System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs unless the program was installed after the Restore Point (date and time) you selected.

To start System Restore click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore then you can choose the date and time (Restore Point) that you want to roll back to. You can see additional date and times other than the one original displayed.

E-System 3090 UK Laptop 512 MB DDRII 533 Ram.To enter the boot when pressing F2 or F12 I have to enter a password ( which i know ) But i want to sell my lap top so i need to remove the password and enter...

You should be able to remove the password within the BIOS. You sure you're going to be able to sell that laptop, because it looks like it's at least 5 years behind?

2 computers on network have spyware & malware problems. Both have AVG installed, and have rebooted, but icons don't appear on desktop to run scans or repairs

download atf cleaner here, make sure you download it to your desktop so you can find it. restart in safe mode by repeatedly tapping the f8 key as the computer starts. double click on the atf cleaner icon on your desktop to open it, put a check in the "select all " box and click on "empty selected". always run it twice and look for the message " no files were removed" .
Use this program everytime you leave your internet browser, always run it twice. it's fast and gets rid of all that **** a spyware/maleware sorts through. if you get the "no file were removed " message then your clean. If you have no internet related programs open and you never get all the trash out, you most like ly have a virus or bigger issue. post here again if you need further assistance. Regards

Battery problem-plugged in, not charging. Lenovo 3000 Please offer a solution.

Had the same problem with a manufactured refurb, would go to 79 %, if you go to power options, change plan settings, change advance power settings, then to the Lenovo energy management tab, press the big enable Lenovo energy management, click on the blue gear to the left of the question mark, if "Optimize for Battery lifespan" is selected it will only charge the battery to 80%, change this to "Optimize for Battery Runtime" and it will charge to 100%

Battery problem

Laptop batteries have a limited lifespan. When they reach the end of that life, this is how they behave. How old is your laptop?

I just replaced my Toshiba after three years. Unfortunately, laptop batteries are not cheap. You can find batteries for your system here:

Pc time changes to the old one always

The most likely cause is that your bios battery on your motherboard has gone flat.

Normally bios batteries are 3V button batteries. They are relatively generic. I think the battery size number is CR2032.

These batteries are relatively easy to change, if you are familiar with the insides of your PC.
