SOURCE: frozen central ac line inside and out

There could be a few possibilities, but I will tell you the most prevalent ones.....Dirty air filter or dirty indoor coil, bad blower, restricted air etc. The other is too low on freon. Turn ac to off and fan switch to on...wait 45 minutes and try again by setting thermostat no lower than 72. While waiting the 45 minutes check the filter , blower, and indoor coil.

SOURCE: have an old rheem heat pump split unit. Replaced

Remove the thermostat face and place a jumper between R and Y. The outside unit should come on. If it doesn't, check for 24vac between R and C or R and Y. If you don't have it then you need to check the transformer. Check for 24vac on the transformer secondary and 120vac on the transformer primary. If you don't have power on the primary, check for a blown fuse or tripped breaker. If you do have power on the primary but nothing on the secondary, you need a new transformer. If the unit does come then the thermostat is the problem.
If the transformer is good and the unit doesn't start when you install the jumper then you have a problem in the outside unit. It could be the contactor coil which you can check with an ohmmeter. It could also be a low or high pressure switch or and overload all of which you can also check with an ohmmeter. Let me know what you find.

Rheem AC raka-030jas. not cooling house. New filter, power to entire system, new batteries in thermostat, condenser coils cleaned, no ice on lines, indoor blower is working, outdoor condenser and fan

Its possible that you have too much Freon and also if the fan in the condenser is coming on you need to make sure the compressor is running too. Some of them are quiet. Grab the line and see if you can feel refrigerant running through them to see if the compressor is running.

The Ice Machine is pulling 40 - 50+ Amps on compressor startup, after 5 - 10 secs it trips the breaker. WHat could this be and is it easily corrected.

sounds like you need to change compacitor on compressor or your compressor needs replaced i would change compacitor first and if not helping then change compressor even if you buy compacitor and it doesnt help you still need to have a new one for the new compressor

Where do I find the reset button for the RHEEM 13 seer

If it is a condenser or outdoor unit heatpump you will have to take the cover off of the compressor section. There should be a high pressure reset that may be a manual reset located on the smaller copper line that leads to the compressor. If it is not here, some Rheem units locate the high pressure switch on the outside of the unit near the copper lines are welded to the unit. It will be just a button to push in.

I have a Ruud condenser on which I just replaced the capacitor and contactor. When I power up, the fan motor spins very slowly and a buzzing occurs about every 15 seconds. The buzzing sounds like it's...

Hello Zing77,

I understand that you are having a problem with your Rudd condensor. The fan is turning slowly and the compressor is making a buzzing noise which has a Diversitech hard start conected to the capcitor.

You have already replaced the run capcitory on the unit and have attached the compressor wire to therm and c and the fan to therm and fan. The hard start kit shoudl be attached to the therm and c with your compressor wires attached to the same place. The hard start kit is to give the compressor the extra push (electrical charge) to start.

You need to check your connections and make sure that you purchased the proper run capcitor. If you have purchased the proper compacitor and the connections are right then you have a bad fan and the compressor as gone out on the unit.

Thank you for choosing

Keep getting reply "not possible to locate uacb.dll" and "not possible to start application" we have double checked all connections. have used this for 2 years without problems. cannot get application to...

The file "uacb.dll" is known to be created under the following filenames: %Temp%\{4f784d0c-0b63-4c3f-9b94-647de84ea8e7}\uacb.dll %Temp%\{df833b00-a611-48e7-bac9-34841798662e}\uacb.dll Note: %Temp% is a variable that refers to the temporary folder in the short path form. By default, this is C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Local Settings\Temp\ (Windows NT/2000/XP).

How to Caculate condenser size in relation to compressor BUT`s

There is no rule of thumb for this. It involves exacting numbers based on specific density of product, starting and ending temps., and quite a bit other stuff. Condensing unit info can be gotten from any HVAC/R supply house. If you have a specific in mind, let me know and I'll get info for the specific.
