The light engine is the most expensive part of the DLP TV and requires unplugging and plugging up a new one. Do a search online to find the one that fits your model. It can be replaced by a novice but I say again it may not be cost-wise to repair!

It's the Digitial Optical Block. Sony is working with owners of this, and many other sets that have the same problem since the 2004 model year lineup. http://sites.google.com/site/sonylcdrptvproblems/

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem. Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

Please adjust TINT control of Video Settings in Menu that will adjust color tone of TV. I do not think this problem is related with Lamp because TV screen does not have any color blobs or spots.
Above solution is for Sony KDF-55WF655 model TV, if your model number is different, let me know.
Thanks.

Yellow tint

The LCD green or blue inside the optical block is defective now. the optical block is the core of the tv (is the projector inside the unit "expensive"). make sure calling to Sony company and try to see in your particular serial # is covered under an extended warranty for this particular set. or at least ask them where you can get a good autorized workshop close to your area.
