Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My emails can be viewed by my wife on her phone.

Probably that the second iPhone is configured to check the mail on your account too. If someone knows your Email account, and your password for the account, the person can register your Email account as his/her own and retrieve mail from it.
Try changing your account password and see what happens. And please create a password on a pattern that is not known to anybody, and keep it secure. Is your iPhone paired to her iPhone through BlueTooth?
Check the details of your accounts (Google, etc.) to see if her phone is linked to your account.

Bought an iPhone4 a few months ago, and can't seem to get the e-mail set up correctly. I can receive but cannot send from my phone. I've spoken to tech support both at Verizon and Road Runner over...

Well lets start with setting the email up to ensure it was setup correctly, which I assume it was based on the fact you can receive them.

1. Tap Mail
2. Select your account type (i.e. Gmail, yahoo, aol etc.)
3. Input your account information. Most email accounts configure automatically, if not, you will be prompted to input more info.
4.Save

If your account is an sbcglobal.net account, try running it simply as a yahoo! account and see if this fixes the problem as sbcglobal.net is yahoo as well and seems to encounter issues transmitting through phones on occasion. A sure way to rule this out is to try an different email account on the phone and send it an email to see if that is recieved. If it is, it would be a problem with the email address itself and not the phone settings. As I stated before, sbcglobal.net has had alot of problems with phone email.

Last few suggestions if neither of these two have worked as phones are very complex:

a. make sure wifi is off and that you can still browse the web through your data connection. if this checks out move on to b.

b.Reset your network settings under "settings", "general", "reset" "reset network settings". Your phone will reboot.

I can send e.mails from work from my ipnone 3gs but nowhere else???

Hi,
Base on your question, am I correct? you can send email and receive emails from your Iphone, no problem at all. That mean your Iphone doesnt' have any problem with email.
Elsewhere, such as you use web-base email, you log on email from website and you couldn't send emails from the website??? Is that right? Or you have a email client software, such as: outlook, thunderbird, .. and you can't send email from that.
In my opinion, if you can send and receive emails from Iphone then the email server is ok, your Iphone is working well with email. Problem is the elsewhere you use to send and receive emails, maybe the setting of email client software, maybe the compatible of web browser. If you could, you try the setting, make sure the ports is correct.
Hope this will help. Keep posting your question. I will follow up. Thanks for reading.

Using Outlook on my pc - disappearing email on my iPhone

Hi, Possibly this could be the reason. Your iPhone might have been setup with IMAP connection, and Outlook with POP3. In this case, once email is downloaded by Outlook, it will be deleted from the att.net server. So, go to Advanced in your Outlook account configuration and Select the option leave a copy on the server.

Then you will have to delete all the emails individually from your phone too.

Thanks
Sandeep

The MMS service does't always work between networks, you sometimes have to retreive the pics via a PC.
I presume you received the MMS settings from your network service provider.

Set up an email acct on iphone

Same problem I had.

You have to talk with your IT guy, or whoever sets up your email accounts. They need to change your mobile preferences to allow your email to be used on a mobile device.

Also, they can give you the correct settings for the incoming and outgoing server mailboxes (almost impossible to find on your own).

Outlook on the exchange server is compatible with iPhones through IMAP.
