Try swapping out the touch screens. It may be that they used different makes of touch screen in these models, and the board and screen are matched. This is the case with many laptop manufacturers. They use different screens in the same models, a cheapest bidder type thing I believe, so, if you switch boards, you have to switch screens or video cards in order to get them to work. Speaking of video cards, does this board have a removable video card or integrated. If it's removable, then you might swap them out if the screen change doesn't work. Try this and let me know.
