View Sonic vx2835 Visual Problem!!

Hello Sir,
I have had this view sonic vx2835 for a couple months. When I first bought it I notice that the menu would be distorted sometime usually I would turn it off and on then it would go back to being clear. Just this week I notice that my monitor screen started to get distortion. My set up is a 5 port hdmi switch wit my cpu and xbox 360 connect. its not the switch cause I disconnected it and the monitor still gives me a sramble pic. Im giing you a link to some pics so you can see what Im talking bout. I have updated my drivers for the monitor and video card on my cpu. I have only been able to get 800 by 600 resoution the other settings give me a scramble pic or distorted screen.

I have the viewsonic vx2835 and i'm told i need to manually adjust the settings to get optimal viewing quality. I need to know what these settings are and how to change them.

When (with new video card) I try to get the 'optimum' res the screen scrambles and I get 8-12 boxes which you cannot navigate to without running your mouse off the screen and into the next box. It also puts up a pixelated box with many colors dancing in smaller boxes. Two video cards later and the dam monitor still doesn't work on high res.

SOURCE: Horizontal lines are appearing and moving acrosss the screen of my View Sonic E50C Monitor...

What is wrong with your monitor is that the Horizontal section is going faulty, the lines you are seeing are the Horizontal Retrace lines, usually invisable in a working unit. It is often a faulty capacitor(s) OR a Diode breaking down.. in the area of the Flyback Transformer. Probably time for a new one unless ya can fix it yaself.

SOURCE: Sound on the View Sonic Monitor

Yes, they are on the front of the screen. There should be a volume up and down button right on the front (usually to the left of the power). If there isn't a separate up and down, try the Menu or 1 and 2 buttons.

Have a view sonic pj860 that has a shadow behind the letters on the right side only

this is called ghosting--you need the codes to get into the hidden menu with you remote to adjust. and then you better know what you are doing when you get there.

Some green color patch in the middle of the screen

Looks like you have an LCD. I was guessing it may be magnetic related in which case I would recommend you degaussed your display using the degauss function but your monitor won't have it since it's not a CRT by the looks of it. I would recommend contacting your dealer or where you purchased the monitor at a retail store. Since it's only 8 months old, you may be able to return it under warranty. If your retail store doesn't let you do that, talk to View Sonic directly and see if you can RMA your product for returning to the manufacturer and receiving a new or repaired unit.

Check out Viewsonic's website for more information.
