Question about Whirlpool LSB6300PW Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Agitation looked normal, however when it got to the spin cycles, this seem to be where the problems are. First the low spin, the RPM varied somwhere between 150-200 rpms. When I turned it to the high spin cycle it was only spinning at 80 rpms. These were visual counting. Then I repeated and found that the next time, i heard the motor spinning without the drum catching. I grabbed the drum and started spinning and it started to catch. So what do you think the problem might be, the possible clutch and/or clutch assembly? If i

Well I replace the tub drive shaft since the two fingers on top were well worn down and had little pieces. I also replaced the clutch. I am still having problems with the spin. When it starts it takes a moment to get the tub to spin. I hear the motor running but not spinning. Then it finally catches and starts spinning. I can actually stop it by putting pressure against the tub.

Could the motor be dying or could it be something wrong with the transmission?

Check the drive block. This is what the drum rests on and the spanner nut goes on to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4O3n3r91...

Spin is not going fast enough to dry out clothes

spin is not suppose to dry the clothes, simply wring the most water it can from them.

are you sure you are not set on a gentle cycle? might your washer offer a extra spin cycle?

My washer doesn't wring the clothes fully.

It's not spinning fast enough because of a loose or worn belt on the motor. Post back with your model number and I may can find a diagram of your washer to help you.

Spinning fast and furious, just doesn't wring clothes dry

It sounds like you need a water pump!
See if it's pumping water next time you do load by looking at the discharge hose going to the drainage pipe and get back to me!

Whirlpool washer lxr9245eq1 doesn't spin dry completely

Try this... while in in spin turn your spin selector switch and listen if motor spins slower or faster.. at fast spin open your lid quick to see how fast its spinning.. check and make sure your drain line is cleared and the water flow out fast...and if its spinning too slow problem is in the gearbox area..
