Question about Computers & Internet
When you download new antivirus software, ( Please note: if you have purchased it online for download they should have sent you an email with a registry key which you will need when you install the software, so you might want to look ofr that and print it out.)
1>uninstall current software- unless this is just an upgrade of the same software. If you are upgrading same software, you do not need to uninstall.
2> go to the toolbar>tools>internet options> general> and delete all cookies
3>you need to make sure that you have turned all running programs off . Go through the little icons on the lower right and click on each one to exit or turn off- every one that you can.
4> make sure that you have the correct software to download for your operating system and CP
5>Begin the download and save it to your desktop.
6> When it is finished you can click on it to install it.
7>After the installation is complete, you can restart your computer which will start up your new software and your other proggys that you turned off.
I would be good to know what software you are attempting to download and what your CP and Op system are. So Let us know if you need more help.
