Owners manual can be found here : http://www.retrevo.com/support/Gigabyte-GA-8IPE775-G-manual/id/23285bh940/t/2/
As to the boot process, its been my experience that if you can actually get into bios, then there isn't any problem with it. Problems usualy arise becoase of a setting chianged inside bios. Have you tried resetting bios to defaults to see if that changes anything?
BTW, have you formatted the new harddrive? Re-install works a heck of a lot better with a properly formatted harddrive.
Hope that helps.
Cheers from NZ

Hard disk gb maximum

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3505#dl

The mainboard does not have a limit for the harddrive size.
But the windows system sometimes have a limit especially windows xp.
A new sata driver or a bios upgrade is sometimes needed when you add a big harddrive.
Note: take care not to flash the bios with a wrong one if needed.
And also the new drive must be formatted ( in NTFS format ) before you can use it.
If you still run windows xp, try to make more partitions, so windows can see the new drives.
Other system like windows 7, does not have this limit.

Good luck

Hello here is the mainbords homepage:

http://ee.gigabyte.com/products/page/mb/ga-8knxp_1x/download/

You have to open the bios first, and select to boot from the dvd drive.
If any doubt how to do this, download the manual from the home page.
Or watch this video:

Good luck

Good morning,my pc have a message like "cmos checksum error" and it don't start,i restarted the bios but i hadn't solve the problem,i have the gigabyte GA81PE775-G MOTHERBOARD

This problem usually occurs when the BIOS information is corrupted and it is caused by a flat BIOS battery.
Replace the BIOS battery with a new one, this battery could be a coin size battery approx. 20mm dia it may be a 3 volt lithium battery type CR2030.

Install a second sata hdd to a gigabyte ga-p35-ds3 rev 2.0 motherboard not in a raid array configuration, so I can do a clean install of windows 7 to my new drive and leave xp on my old drive.

ther is no need for a raid array. connect hdd assign priority to the new hdd. install 7 on new hdd,
or
just connect hdd , boot to xp , put windows 7 dvd , instal it on new hdd while u r in xp
if ur new hdd is not detecting just clear c-mos settings

If your hdd is sata and you have an old mobo , windows xp (onlycvista will) will not recognize it. Integrate sata in xp (use nliteand goolgle how to) or use the flloopy disk to run sata driver
