Thanks for your help! I will take the fan apart from the ceiling this time instead of just the base of the lamp and give that a try. Appreciate you taking the time to respond, will report results!

Sounds like the transponder under the cover at the light is defective. Try pointing remote at transponder when cover at ceiling is off and lowered . Check all connections at transponder as well. Power off to check connections.

Casa Endeavor fan works, light does not. Installed new receiver and tested remote both are good. Took the light to a repair shop, light works there, just not once attached to fan in the ceiling.

If your fixture has pull chains in addition to remote control operation can get the remote control confused. Try experimenting to find a procedure that works and follow it consistently. Also, a power outage can disrupt the whole routine.

If you only change the battery in the hand-held remote, there should be another one in the fan housing that also needs changing. Always change all the batteries at the same time.

Fan remote does not work. thought it might be the battery. not !

By the sound of it, it could be a wiring issue. Im assuming its hardwired to the house. If you feel comfortable enough, i would suggest checking the connection to the fan motor a long with the connections to the lights.(The bulbs might just be burned out too) If that looks okay. You said the remote wasnt working. Im assuming you have an alternate method of operating the fan, perhaps a typical "light" switch. Once again if you feel comfortable you could test that switch, it may be bad.

Bottom line, if you dont feel comfortable messing with electricity as many do, Call an electrician out. The fans can get expensive and it seems pretty new still. They can diaginose it for you relatively cheap.

Remote not controling fan

You either have a bad receiver or the receiver isn't wired correctly,

On the receiver house wire side are black, white, and green.

On the receiver fan side are white, black, blue, and green. The black is hot for the fan, the blue is hot for the light. They can be wired together from receiver to fan.

At the bottom are a blue and a white wire to go to the lights.

Sometimes when installed the receiver is placed so that a part of the wiring box obstructs the signal from the remote and it doesn't work properly, or misses some commands.

I recommend buying a new remote and receiver and wiring the receiver in so that it rests on the sheetrock beside the wire in box.
