SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How do i secure my network?

You can get a wizard from Linksys and use that, but here are the highlights of what needs attention:

Wireless Router

It is usually easiest to run the install wizard, but be sure to be ready to set the items listed below.

Things to set:

Note: Routers are intended to be set by geeks. You have to SAVE EVERY page, or the changes will be lost. A geek knows this (apparently). The router gives no protest...just dumps your changes.

1. Login password (RECORD THIS!!). Consider taping to bottom of the router. Physical access is not the security issue.

2. Set a recognizable system ID.

3. Invoke wireless security of at least WEP.

a. Assign your own access code, 10 digit home or cell #. Consider taping to bottom of the router. Physical access is not the security issue.

4. Check that your router is set to broadcast its' presence.

Wirelss router not working

I don't think it needs to be replaced. have you installed the installation disk that came with it, if so

if you have windows
1. go to my computer
2. click on the my network places tab on the left panel
3. then click set up a wireless network for a home or small office
4. then jut follow the wizard set by set.

if that doesn't work, make sure your computer's wireless adapters are able to pick up your router's N broadband signals. if not you might need to go out and buy wireless N adapters for all your computers.

I cant connect wirelessy with my dell wireless 2350 broadband router

Unplug router for 10 seconds and reconnect. This will stop the static charge buildup that happens frequently with routers. If needed, set up a wireless network using the network wizard and set all settings to automatic.

Linksys Wireless G Router Set up

I ended up loading the router setup cd onto another laptop, and it worked fine. I still don't know why the first laptop had the error code, but they now both, work perfectly fine. Thanks, anyway.

Problem with Setup Wizard for Linksys 2.4 GHz Wireless-G Broadband Router

Since you're having problem in setting this router up, the best to way to set it up is by doing a mnual configuration and you dont need to use the setup CD that came with it, I'm suggesting you to call the linksys tech support and they will walk you through on the manual setup it will only take about 10 minutes this is the number 800-3267114.

Hope that helps.........

My setup disc is cracked and I need to install the software onto my computer.

As far as I know, the setup wizard for your router is just to help you configure the internet and wireless connection and it won't install any software at your PC. It just needs you PC to run the setup wizard to do those things. An alternative way is to manually configure it via it's web interface which you can access by opening Internet Explorer and type at your Address bar. That's also useful when you will configure advance setting at your router.

Hope this helps.
