Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Here's my solution, in one solution i read about, it mentioned contacts possibly being dirty, so I checked the contacts at the back of my new cartridge but they were really clean and shiny. So I checked what the contacts on the back of the old cartridge look like and I couldnt see them, it looked like someone had put a piece of card over them, so I thought what the heck, I'll cover the four contacts on the back of the new one with some sticky tape...it worked! No probs since!

This could be if you changed the toner crdrige from a no name product, check on the botom of the cardrige if there is a micro chip installed, if it is then there are some informationes missing you need to bring the cardrige back so the stor can change the chip or you have to purchase one and change it by your own.
Now when you change the chip by your own ther are some little changes to be don on your cardrige,
position the cardrigh with the handle to the desk in front of you, then remove the old chip, now cut with a sharp knife the little paslic parts near the chip position via the middle of the cardrige, this needs to be don so the new chip fit in right position, then position the new chip with the white color mark ti the center of the cardrige and press it in the little deper holding point for 3 seconds, then instalate the cardrige it is ready tom use now.

Same problem here. I bought the toner from the same office supply store (Office Max) as I bought my printer from.
The box says "Samsung" and the correct model # is on the box.
God, how I hate this printer.... the whole thing might be going back tomorrow and I'm movin' on to HP.
Did you get your problem resolved?

You can resolve the issue by replacing the cartridges with genuine Samsung cartridges. The problem with refilling your ink cartridges is that you do not reset the chip on the cartridge when you do that. The chip on the cartridge tells your printer how many prints that cartridge has printer. By refilling the cartridges and not replacing the chip, you run the risk of damaging your printer. I recommend you pay the full price and swap them out with new Samsung ones and it should alleviate your issues.
