You didn't mention what machine you're referring to. My guess is that is is still the carburetor. You missed something. Happens to me all the time. Sounds like a fuel problem if it "Starts, but won't run".

Engine starts. Why does it only run a few minutes, then stop?

a few things may cause this. it sounds like it is starving for fuel. the spark plug may be breaking down when it gets hot. try a new spark plug. if the fuel and fuel lines are in bad shape, old, soft or hard. the fuel don't smell right. fuel filter plugged up. the carburetor may need to be cleaned and a rebuild kit as they are cheap. if it is 30 years old. be sure the fuel lines, filter and carburetor are in good shape. hope this gives you an idea on where to start. good luck

common problem for dodge 4 cylinders...
never lower the oil level unless its real high on the dipstick..
you have the replace the spark plug guide seal.... it seals it from oil in the valve cover going into the spark plug guide and killing the spark... yes oil goes past the threads on the plug....

just did the valve cover on my 94 jaguar... has the same setup valve cover design

Craftsman hand held gas leaf blower will not start. I have put in fresh gas, changed spark plugs, cleaned the gas filter, tested for spart and it does spark, changed the air filter but all this and still...

If it has a spark then try spraying some starter fluid on the air filter. If it attempts to run then the carburator is stopped up. If it doesn't then you most likely have low compression. Remove the spark plug and screw in a compression tester and pull the starter a few times. It has to have no less than 70 psi to fire and run. 90+ would be even better. If it is 50 and below try pouring a little oil in the spark plug hole and repeat the test. If it improves a little then you have a scored cylinder or piston or stuck or broken piston rings. Let me know what you learn and I'd be glad to walk you through some more.

Briggs and stratton runs good for 5 minutes then starts to smoke

My first thought is that the throttle lever is being pushed so far forward ( max RPM's ) that you are running the engine 1/2 or better choked
Look at the choke butterfly with the throttle in your normal run position it should be completely open
This may require and adjustment in the control rods or might be as simple as not pushing the throttle wide open

Craftsman riding mower starts rides a few minutes then stops

Make sure that when you check the oil that the mower has sat I say for at least 5mins. Your mower might have an oil sencer. If not I think it might be the coil gettin hot and shorting out.
