Yes it is possible to fix the netbook. All you need to do is reinstall the operating system. You will have to get hold of an external DVD/CD drive or install Windows through a USB drive.
With a DVD/CD drive all you need is the XP installation CD. Connect the drive to the power outlet and then plug the USB lead to the computer. turn the netbook on and hit the F12 key or the key it tells you for "Boot Options". Select the "USB CD-ROM" device and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the operating system.
If you haven't got an XP installation CD then you'll have to purchase one.

If you decide to install using the USB flash drive then to get the system to boot from the USB flash drive just follow the same instructions for the DVD/CD drive.
