Is it "garbage"? Not necessarily.

If you're really happy with the vacuum so far, and the motor sounds nice and smooth, it would be worth your while taking it to a service center for a tune-up.

That all depends on the price of a suitable replacement, of course.

Check your suction. If there is no or little suction at the hose end then check for a plugged hose and all the suction areas. Make sure your filters are clean as well. Should be one and possibly two.

The suction of the vacuum has gone down from the suction that was when it was new(about two years old). All areas have be cleaned and there are no obstructions or blockages in the unit, it just seems less...

you may have a little wear in the hose, although sometimes it is wise top take it in for an overhaul. If you take it to a good tech they will take it apart, clean the motor and adjust the rubber seals.Simply,a vacuum means no air,the better sealed the vacumm the better suction...hope this helps

Why do I have no suction from our EP754C vacuum? Turns on but no suction?

Hi, please check the hose attachment you are using, sometimes tissue paper or fluff can cause the hose to block. You will have to remove any obstruction. Another test will be to check the area where the hose attaches to the vacuum, switch on without hose and use a piece of paper to see if there is suction in this area, if no suction then the problem could be that the inner filter housing the motor needs cleaning. Best of luck.

My Bissell Pro Heat Select 2X does not pull up the dirt from the carpet into the water. The water just slowly disappears. The first time I used it the water got really dirty. The very next time I used it...

Inside the plastic suction lid is a little red plastic filter that has to be cleaned out every time you use it because it sounds like your vaccum is not picking up all the hair and debri before you clean the carpet causing the water to be injected into the carpet and disappearing and not filling the tank with dirty water. Leaving bigger dirtier wet spots after cleaning

Sounds like the vacuum motor is defective or you have a clog in the vaccum line. Basically everything is running except the vacuum "Suction" cycle. Do you hear the "Suction" phase (light indicator) during operation when it loudens like a whine? That would be the vacuum phase. Is the dirty water reservoir clean, do you rinse it thoroughly when you empty it? Have you removed the hose assy and rinsed it out? I think it is still part of the auto cycle even if you don't use the manual tool.

My dyson vacuum motor is sounding very high pitched... The tubes are all clear and there is suction with the tubes not not real good suction on the beater brush area....

Your dirt path is clogged, probably not far from the brush area. This is the reason you noticed the hi-pitch sound coming from the motor.

You may have to remove the hose to clear it.

Loss of suction

There should be a sponge like filter in the area of the canister and no this is NOT the HEPA filter. When you find this other filter you will want to bang it off outside and then put it back in and you should be all set.
