I am after a manual for my Singer 1832U machine. I am having problems with looper threads snapping

Singer 1832U Manuals

Usually, breaking threads are a result of misthreading. Remove all the threads from the machine. AVOID old or bargain bin threads! ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning--make sure each thread is threaded in the proper order.

How to thread an empisal over locker ,DE-LUXE400

The manual should be helpful:

It is always best to start out with brand new needles.

Before beginning to thread, be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot throughout the threading process. This releases the tension disks so the thread will seat properly.

Follow the thread order when threading or your machine will most likely never work properly. Usually, it would be the upper looper first, the lower looper next, and then the needles. However, your manual should clarify that. Also, when threading each, be sure to give each thread an extra little tug when it goes through the tension disk to make sure it seats correctly.

Hi, I just need to know how to thread this machine properly or, where can I get a manual please?

Search the internet for:

Make + Model + the word "Manual"

or contact manufacturer support. Most machines are threaded similarly, so even if you can't find a manual for your model, a manual for a model similar to yours will be helpful.

You can also search YouTube videos for threading instructions.

When threading, be sure to always raise the presser foot during the upper threading process. This releases the tension disk and allows the thread to seat properly.

For skipped stitches, try installing a brand new needle.

I cant get tension on the upper thread

Consult your owner's manual for the proper threading sequence--your machine could be threaded incorrectly..

Totally remove the upper thread. BEFORE re-threading, RAISE the presser foot so the thread will seat properly in the tension disk. Be sure to lower the presser foot before trying to sew.

Why can't I get a good stitch?

bad stitches can be attributed to incorrect thread tensions
if the thread is bunching under the material -tighten the needle thread tension
if it is missing threads or not pulling the top thread up properly adjust the bobbin thread as it may be too tight

My Janome 3018 will not wind a nice tight bobbin. They are loose and spongy. This machine is brand new. I have double checked that it is threaded properly and the thread is in the correct place and

You are not exactly threading the machine when you wind the bobbin. So follow the directions for winding the bobbin, make sure the thread fits under the little revolving wheel, and make sure that the stitch part of the machine is disengaged.

Thread from bobbin is not coming up and stitch is not proper

Visit this website http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html
enter in your model number and download the manual for your machine, threading issues usually either bobbin not in correctly, thread not in tension or machine incorrectly threaded, so review the manual threading instructions and follow them to trouble shoot your machine.

Stitches are looping on the underneath and missing some stitches

Refer to the manual for cleaning.

Replace the needle with the size recommended for the type of fabric being sewn. The flat side of the needle is usually facing the back of the machine - check manual to be sure.

Always thread any sewing machine with the presser foot up. This opens the tension control so the thread can properly enter this device.

When a sewing machine is threaded with the foot down, the tension control closes and the thread cannot enter as it should

You then get loose stitches because the top thread and bobbin thread cannot make a proper stitch and the tension of the bobbin thread is pulling the top thread to the underside of the fabric.

I'm getting loops on the surface of my fabric. I have rethreaded both upper and bobbin and played with the tension.

Set the tension according to the manual for your machine.

Raise the presser foot and re-thread the machine. It is important that the presser foot be up when threading as this opens the tension control and allows the thread to properly enter.

When you thread with the foot down, the tension is closed to the selected setting and the thread cannot enter.

Check the manual to be sure the bobbin thread is feeding from the bobbin spool in the correct direction and through the proper guides.

Keep the machine maintained according to the manual.

If you do not have a manual, check the Brother website for a free download.

Bobbin not looping top thread to make a stitch

Get a manual for your machine so you know how to properly thread the machine - you need to be sure the thread goes through the guides in proper sequence and - ALWAYS thread a sewing machine with the presser foot up.

You need to be sure the bobbin thread is feeding in the correct direction from the bobbin spool and through the correct guides.

Check the needle to see if it is installed correctly and is not bent.

Most sewing machine needles are installed with the flat side toward the back of the machine.

After proper threading and bobbin feeding, hold onto the top thread tail and lower the needle down and back up to pull up the bobbin thread.

Take both thread ends under the presser foot and to the back of the machine.

You did not provide the make and model of your machine so I can only suggest if you do not have a manual, search the Internet. Singer and Brother have downloads. Sewusa has many brands/models.
