How to connect a Miller welding machine

Do you need information on how to connect the electrodes to use it, or how to connect to your garage/shop/house's power?
If it's a different type of plug than your outlet has the ability to receive, it likely means it's a 220 welder (as most welders are), and you would need a 220 outlet to plug it into. In which case, you need an electrician or someone else capable of wiring and installing a plug for you.
If you're wanting to know how to connect the electrodes to use the welder, the negative (black, generally) clamp needs to be securely clamped to a (preferably bare) metal area near where you want to weld. Usually problems with good ground connections are caused by not having the ground attached to bare, shiny steel. If it arcs at the clamp, it means it's not grounding well enough to work properly.

I have a millermatic 251 but the gat wont come out when i pull the triger

First, you need to check that you have the correct input voltage going to the machine. The main PC board on the welder disperses the input voltage to many different things,ie. the gas solenoid, the drive motors, contactors, transformer, stabilizer etc.

So if your machine is made to run on 230v and it is plugged into 208v, the first thing to stop working is the gas solenoid because it requires more voltage (34vdc on this model) to actuate.
If it turns out you are running the correct power to the machine, there is something wrong with an internal component on the machine and it needs to be brought to a certified miller service center where it will most likely be one of two things, the gas solenoid (about $30+ labor) or the main PC board ($500-600+labor) hope for the best on that one.
best of luck!

Will it run on house hold 240 volts

This machine will run on 115 or 230 volt standard house elctricity. There is a selector switch on the rear of the machine and you may have to change the plug on the power cord to suit your power outlet.

Can i plug my miller spectrum 1000 plasma cutter into a 110 or other houshold outlet like a 220 outlet some how

no you idiot! the plug is different & even if you could somehow, its half the power output. Your plasma welders for the matter, have whats called a duty cycle, which plays into effect.... electrical load level....ect.
HOWEVER-- you can plg ito the same outlet as your stove, washer & dryer plugs. DON'T BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN, The wife will kill you!

Ge jsp42 electric range ..Oven heats up very slowly..sometimes can take one hour to heat to 400 degrees..Stove top also slow..

Check the voltage at the outlet. It should be 208v or 240v. check by putting meter probe into the 2/3 slots. NOT the U shaped,or round looking holes.Check one to another. Check tag on range for voltage of range. If you have 208v at the outlet and range is 240v the oven will take forever to heat, it is not getting the power it needs. If the tag says 230v either will work. On the oven tag it will say either 1ph, or 3ph. If it says 3ph you outlet should have the voltage mentioned above between ALL 3 SLOTS! If you get 120v when testing any slot, you have only 1ph of power. Keeping it simple, the ph, (or phase,) between the outlet and oven have to be the same.

How to install a 208v outlet for a stove

if its a single phase panel you will only have 120/240 v.a.c. you can wire it for 240 volts and it will heat faster anyway the only way you could have 208 volts would be if you had 3 phase delta or open delta 3 phase or buy a special "dry-type" transformer for 240 volt to 208 volt step-down,otherwise it will be red-& black will be your 2 hot phases of 120 volts each/white-neutral/and green or green-yellow will be the case safety ground

Changing a 3 prong plug into a regular outlet plug.

Your plug is for 220v and a regular wall outlet is 110volts. It simply will not work. You will burn out your dryer, and place yourself at risk of electrocution.

Your voltage selector is not set properly.

The R-23GT and the R-24GT have been preset for 230V operation.

If you need to change this oven for 208V operation, follow instructions below.

1. Unplug oven.
2. Remove one screw(A) from the Voltage Select Cover located on back of the oven near the bottom.
3. Remove the Voltage Select Cover and rotate 180 degrees.
4. Reinstall the Voltage Select Cover using one screw(A) removed in Step 2.
5. Plug power cord into wall outlet.

Your oven is now ready for 208V, 60Hz operation.
