SOURCE: NO SOUND FROM CLARION XMD3

I have a XMD3 with Sirius on a Larson boat. Had same problem - everything seemed to be fine on unit (everything lit up and CD showed different tracks and time changing), but no sound. I suspected a ground problem and checked wires I could see. Found one speaker wire that had been frayed due to faulty installation. As soon as I wiggled that wire I got sound on all speakers. Not sure why one faulty speaker would kill all sound, but it did for me.

SOURCE: Clarion M5675 won't turn on

Take the stereo all the way out and hook the black wire to the negative terminal and the yellow and the red wire to the positive terminal on a charged car battey. If it still does not turn on you may have fuse in the back of the deck. If not it's probably fried.

SOURCE: My clarion nx500 radio mutes my music coming from my phone when I crank truck but works fine when key is turned over

Some cars will disconnect power to some accessories while cranking the engine. This is normal.

Clarion marine M455A

Go to the CLARION website and look for CUSTOMER SERVICE. You can either call or e-mail a description of your dilemma with the radio. The company stands behind their products. If it is still under warranty you may find it easier to first go to the store where it was purchased. They will give you a new unit if it is within the 30-day purchase date or at least offer to send it to Clarion for repair. Make sure you get a RETURN AUTHORIZATION number from the company. As far as being a "marine" radio, it is still an electrical product in a wet environment. The radio chassis is protected with a stainless plate to shield the circuitry. There is gasketing to prevent moisture from entering. Even the so-called waterproof handheld vhf radios claiming submersible protection have a limit to how long it can remain submerged before it loses watertight integrity. If saltwater invades to circuitry, immediately disconnect the power source (never try to turn it on if it IS wet.) and remove the unit so that you can RINSE as soon as possible the exposed electrical connections with FRESH WATER to remove the salt BEFORE it drys and becomes encrusted. Do Not allow the salt water to dry and become encrusted and the damage is done. Salt destroys electrical connections; eats 'em up! THEN blow-dry on a low setting and set it aside to complete the drying out process. Some wags suggest placing it in the oven on alow setting. I DON'T. Good Luck.

My clariondrb3675 car radio was working fine...until my car battery died yesterday and i had to get a jump....now my radio doesnt work....what can i do to reset it?

try checking all of your fuses first. i'm not sure if there is going to be a fuse in the wire harness or on the back of the radio also. it wouldn't hurt to check.

Clarion radio sound flickers

make sure your wirings are rated to handle the current needed by your radio. You might have a large voltage drop when it is at high volume level because it will draw lots of current. You might need to change the size of your wires to your Clarion. Check the voltage near the radio when it starts to flicker if it goes below the source voltage of 12V. hope this helps

Bike died in the rain

I would tend to believe it was more of a situation where water got into some of the electrical connections and caused a short , which caused an over current, thereby blowing the fuse. The thing to do is, try to figure out where the water is getting into the electrical system and then try to seal it. I've ridden in a lot of rain and never had this happen. Look for an electrical fitting that appears to have gotten wet inside or maybe a place where wire insulation is damaged. Maybe water got on a wire with damaged insulation and shorted it to metal. Or maybe water even go into the fuse box, or any other electrical housing (such as the head lamp assembly). But either way, the water definitely caused a short somewhere.
