Question about Jenn-Air SVE47100 Slide-In Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

We have a Jenn-Air electric slide in oven, model W131. It appears to work fine in all respects except that it doesn't come up to the set temp even though it tells you it has. Set at 350, it notifies you when it's reached full temp, but a thermostat in oven reads 210. Help? Did replace the sensor, didn't help. Thanks

If you changed the sensor most likely it will be the clock assy.it's not just a clock it also has a computer board built into it.you're missing a few letters off of the model number so when you call your parts store give them the full model number so they will sell you the right clock assy. i believe your board is around 150 dollars.if the elements are good and a new sensor all that's left is the board or clock assy. good luck with your stove.

On a jenn air W131 does the lower element work with 240v

If the plug that goes into the wall looks like the one for an electric dryer then its 240. If it looks like an ordinary wall socket then it's 120.

My Jenn-Air SVE47100 slide in electric range does

Obviously it does not work fine. The thermostat sensor or the stat itself could be an issue. Can you see the sensor 'bulb'? Clean it with oven degreaser and steelwool. What is the temp in the oven with a 'oven thermometer'? Is this consistent with the oven readout?

Just a suggestion, turn the breaker off to the range and leave off for 30 secs. This may reset the board. That's the easy way. If that doesn't help I'll try to find more on it.

How do you get a Jenn air oven out of the wall???

The JennAir website should have the installation manual for download. Go there, type on your model number, and it should come up.

Sometimes these ovens just get "stuck" in place, and take some easy levering to break free, or to help you find other fasteners.

I can't get the oven temp to set on my Jenn Aire eletric range

I was looking to see what kinds of problems the JES9860 electric slide in was having. I am not sure if this is your model, but if you go to the Jenn Air site, you can find your model, click on it, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on SPECS & LITERATURE, its to the right of "features". You should be able to Download the manual on the guide there and that shouldhelp you to set the temp correctly. If anyone has any feedback of the JES9860 as far as if they like it, hate it or otherwise, can you please post. I'm getting ready to make a huge committment. Thanks much and good luck.

Jenn air s136 stove won,t self clean

You've probably already read pages 34 through 37 of the owners manual for this oven. We had this stove in the house we bought and the owner wrote in his own directions, which seem to work fine:

1. Turn knob selector to clean.
2. Turn temp knob to clean.
3. Close and lock door.
4. Push enter button and turn dial clockwise to desired time.
5. Push enter button again.

You've probably already tried this, but just in case I figured I'd pass it along.
