I got problem with my Iomega gdgdu 2. I disconnected it from PC and then tryed to connected it again but it doesend loaded! Pleace help me... if you dont't understand just **** it cuz Im not from America or England! XD

SOURCE: XD card Problem

IF the images are lost (can't see them thru the camera), format the memory card (Photo mode button - Set - Format). These cards need to be reformatted frequently. I do it once a month, but I'd recommend it once every 500 pictures.

Most Acers use an IPN2220 Wireless card. If yours does and your router is using WPA or WPA2 (TKIP or AES) security then you'll need to update the driver by searching for it manually using the Custom button (Hardware) in Windows update (instead of Express). This driver is not part of XP service pack 2 or 3. In my experience if you don't update to the newest common form of home wireless security (WPA2 AES) then the older formats seem to become unreliable in the way you describe

Here are the steps:

  1. Reboot in "safe mode". Hold down the "escape" key for a minute or two
  2. Even though you've seen the "Error 523 white screen of death", a sigh of relief will overcome you as you see the Tour boot in safe mode
  3. Unplug the internet from your computer for the entire process. This was key for me as I couldn't find a way to have the Tour connect with the desktop manager (DM)
  4. Plug in your Tour and connect with the DM
  5. Once connected go to the DM's "Main Menu"
  6. Go to "Application Loader"
  7. Go to "Add/Remove Applications" and click "Start"
  8. After syncing, your DM will show you a list of apps from your last sync-up
  9. Remove any apps you recently installed or updated. While you're there, you may as well do some Spring Cleaning by removing latent apps that have fallen into disuse
  10. (I can't remember if I was asked to choose an OS during this process, but if you are prompted, pick the safest choice...the lowest version available. However, I haven't tried to install the latest version, either, so it's your call).
  11. Voila!!! All of your apps should be synced up as if nothing ever happened!

My iomega screenplay 500gb is not coming up on 2 of my laptops when i connect it via usb it comes up local disk and when you click it my computer just crashes and it takes a while to load up, it doesnt...


Try plugging in the player & powering it up fully (wait 2 minutes). Once fully booted, connect it to your laptop...this should work - if not, you likely have a problem w/ the hard drive internal to the player.

I have a iomega screen director 1TB. I can connect to windows 7 from a desktop usb to iomega. However i cannot access iomega wireless or wired in lan network. Pls help..Tyrone


Make sure you are disconnecting the USB from your computer before you try to access it.
WIFI - If you have 128-bit encryption, you will have to change it to wpa-psk or wep 64-bit.
Wired - Check your network setting on the device. Make sure that it is getting an IP address from your router or switch. If you keep getting an APIPA address, try manually configuring the IP to your subnet.

Iomega 1TB HD Works on iMac but not on Windows Laptop?


as the mac has a diffreent format to a pc you cannot connect up the drive to a pc because it simply wont recodnise it. the best way is to network the 2 computers together then alow file sharing on the mac and searcc with windows through the network to find the drive. then copy them across the network to your pc. this will then reformat the files to PC files at they hit your PC

My iomega 250gb external hard drive will not open because of an inpage operation can anyone help???...


I am sure that you have unplugged the external drive and tried it again. Have you tried it on a different system? You can install the drivers to another computer and see if that will resolve the issue. If it does, you will need to uninstall the current drivers on your PC and then reinstall them. Does this Iomega have a bus connection. Not all bus connections load the driver automatically. You may have to go to Iomega website and get the driver. Then you just have to get rid of the one that you have (may be corrupted) and install this one.

please give more details on your mode of connection,ie is the Iomega drive connected to another computer on your network?is it a Network Storage Device?

I have an iomega ix2 store center and yesterday i lost connection to it. i tried rebooting but after the flashing blue light goes away the red light comes on and i cannot connect.

What you must do is that firstly, disconnect the printer from the PC. Then go to Start->Control Panel->Add Remove Programs. Select this printer and uninstall it. Reboot. Insert the driver disk into the drive and install the drivers again. Reboot. Now attach the printer to the PC and allow Windows to detect the printer and load its drivers and give you a message in the right bottom corner of the screen "The new HW is installed and is ready for use". Now it will not give any problems. Also read the following link for complete procedure.

have u tried the tv sys button on the remote ? reperat a few times as it cyclels thru the formats. or the source button. first disconnect the usb

Corrupt drive


Hi Whisky300,
If you connected the drive after the updates, you may want to manually update and select "Custom" rather than "Express" at the Microsoft update site (with your USB Hard Drive attached), The custom installation will allow you to view and select additional hardware and software updates that the express option won't, and may very well pick up your USB hard drive.
