WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF dash LIGHTS NOT ADJUSTING?

if all other light are high in brightness, and 1 is dim, there is issue with the circuit, or the light getting ready to burn out, it also is drawing a little more current to the light.

Ticking noise

HI, This is the result of a damaged Power control board. This board is not regulating the incoming current correctly. This board should be replaced, immediately. This will cause the in-house circuit breaker to blow. The board is located behind a access panel, on the rear of the unit. Have it replaced, soon.

It may be mounted on the compressor platform, as well.

Why does my washing machine trip the electric

run the machine, after it trips, unplug and carefully touch the motor,it may have a bad capacitor, or dry bearings causing it to draw excessive current,if these 2 things are not it, then look for a bare wire that may be touching case during this part of the cycle, and if you can get an "Amprobe" it reads current and check machines current draw during the start to trip current

Won't switch from wash to spin...

You have a bad motor. Your motor turns in one direction to wash and the other to spin. One directions windings are bad. This is why it is drawing currant so bad. Sorry, seems I'm always the bearer of bad news.

Get a repairman in to check for a damaged drive train on the washer and an electrician in to check the wiring in your house

Switching a high power electric shower on can cause some voltage drop which in turn causes the lights to dim for a short period.

But having a washer stalling on wash doing it sounds as if you have some major issues with the house wiring.

Kenmore 80 topload washer agitation cycle noisy and high current

Sounds like a motor problem drawing to many amps dimming lights. Check drain pump to see if pump has obstruction in it causing resistance. Run machine while pump is off to see if light dim.

Well, the solution to this problem was posted in this thread
http://www.fixya.com/support/t1295372-ge_profile_ref_ice_despenser_motor_not

It seems that the bulb in the front panel is pulling to much current as it ages and it makes the control panel in not work properly. Removing the bulb will fix the problem - just fixed mine.

Also seems to match your symptoms (works sometimes and then not others - bulb current is inconstent, light dims when dispense lever pressed - again wrong current draw).

Good luck

Sounds like solenoid is faulty

Yes, sounds like a faulty relay on the main bd. Could also be the motor is starting to seize up and drawing lots of current. I would suggest a technician look at the unit and test with an AMP probe to determine where and when the excessive power is being pulled.
