click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you should see a yellow question mark?

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

click start control panel administrive tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start or you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive hope this helps

if this fails to fix the problem
check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts also
scroll to disk drives if you can see your drive + to expand right click you should see options update driver disable uninstall scan for hardware changes
select properties you should see options in the general tab to troubleshoot policies volumes driver and details under the driver tab you will have the options to check the driver details update driver rollback driver or uninstall
    hope this helps

You may have formatted the drive in NTFS instead of FAT32. if its an old version of Xp or Win98 then it may need to be formatted in FAT32. If its windows 7 then it must be in NTFS. in My computer right click on the icon for the drive and left click on format. You should see the options for with type of file system you want.

Good luck

SanDisk Cruzer Blade is not showing data. The drive shows up in 'My Computer' but data is not showing.

try other usb port, or other computer and see whether the hdd is detected. If still not, try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use this program to recover your files.

Hi Amir, not 'Safely remove the hardware' will result in data loss on USB flash drive. However, you can recover your data on it with third party data recovery software.I have succeed to recover data from pen drive with Tenorshare data recovery. It can recover data after deeply scanning your USB flash drive to look for lost data. By the way,you can download a trial version and scan your flash drive for free to preview whether your data can be recovered. http://www.any-data-recovery.com/index.htm

You have ruined the file integrity of the flash drive, There is a very slim chance that you will recover any data off of the drive. Most flash drives only have a read/write of about 8,000 to 9,000 times so depending on how much you actually used the drive, it is possible it finally went bad. To format the drive try going to my computer and right clicking on your cruzer drive letter and click format. "ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED WITH THIS OPTION"
