White lines on image however when capturing on dark areas and on video mode, it produce a perfect image

Not clear when you have white lines. While looking on the screen or really on a image.
Lots of camera's produce lines on the LCD, when using the LCD to frame the picture. Special when there are small and sharp lights in the image. But the sensor is not capturing that while making the picture. It is a sort of smear on the screen.
Also, when you try to make a picture in bright lights, you can get flares, but those you can see on the screen and in the picture. To fight flares, most camera's and lenses come with sun hoods. Your camera does not have a hood, so try to avoid shining bright lights on the front of the lens.

I have a proview lcd screen and it palys the tv shows in back ground but it's a dark screen like dark blue no picture. Volume and everything working but just no picture. What can i do.

Show a torch light on the screen for a distance, and if you can see the picture, the backlight is not lighting up. Check for its settings on the remote, if you have that option. Check also the settings of brightness/contrast/sharpness/color. If you still have problems, please call in a qualified service technician.

Computer boots up but nothing is displayed. Does display through secondary monitor

Put your laptop in a bright, bright room or shine a light on the bottom of the screen and make sure that there is really nothing on the screen. Sometimes these lcd look black but there still may be a picture, it is just not being backlit. If you can see something on the dark screen, then you have lost your backlight, which is built into the bottom of the lcd. If there just is nothing there, then this could be a screen failure, inverter failure or primary video circuit. I would lean toward the screen died, But I would also change the inverter while I was at it....they are fairly cheap. Just make sure that the main video plug the runs to the integrated lcd is properly seated or you will not get a picture. Check both ends of the cable, notherboard and back of the screen.

Dark shadow-like vertical streaks thru LCD screen (Sharp)

Hi, I have a Sony Grand Wega LCD Projection TV that has a blotted gray streak across the front of the screen. I only use a damp cloth to clean the window and that doesn't seem to help. It really shows up on light pictures and is unnoticed when the picture is a little darker. What can I do to fix this problem???

Dark screen

if the picture is REALLY dark, like you can just barely see it in a lit room, then the backlight might not be lit. LCD TVshave backlight that shines through the LCD screen which allows you to see the picture.

If it's not the backlight then it would be the brightness/contrast settings that need to be adjusted. If the picture used to be normal and all of a sudden went dark, verify the backlight. Normally you can look through the slots on the top of the set and determine if the backlight is on. If you can see a bright light through any of the slots, the backlight is probably OK... go after the brightness/contrast settings.

L13V36 Dark Screen, picture can be seen in bright light.

If the backlight lights up for a second it's probably fine - It lay odds on the display inverter in the screen. Actually finding parts for anything made by gateway may be difficult, however. They do not sell spare parts. Considering the size of the LCD i bet it would almost exceed the replacement cost of the screen to repair it

PS2 Picture Problem

Hi MG86,

Most PS2 games are dark and auto brightness controls will casue your LCD tv to brighten up automatically in response the dark video coming from PS2 games. I suggest you get into the menu settings of your TV and find a setting that will shut off the auto picture controls.
