Yes, it is called a `transmission report' (TX report), and is a setup option. You can change this setting with the following procedure: Open the 1-touch panel to access the function keys. Press the `data registration' key to access the user menu. You should see `user settings'. Press the `set' key. Press the cursor down key to get to `report settings', and press the `set' key. You should see `TX report'. Press the `set' key. Cursor down till you see `output yes'. Press the set key. Press the `stop' key to return to the normal screen. It is now set to print a report after each transmission.
Open the speed dial panels (3) locate DATA REGISTRATION button. Press data registration, then press SET button twice, this should get you to DATE and TIME setting....use the number keys to adjust same then press SET when finished. Press DATA REG. button to escape from user settings.
Open all 3 One-touch Speed Dialling panels.
press Data Registration. press Set.
USER SETTINGS press Set
DATE & TIME press Set
use numeric keypad to enter month/date/year and then time press Set
To exit, press Data Registration or Stop
Not an expert on this model however, on most canon fax machines the plastic cover or panel on the keypad is a door. Opening this you should see descriptions for the keys one should say report. Press report to print and follow instuctions to get activity report.
Hope this helps
Sounds like it got set to "immediate" transmission somehow, rather than "memory" transmission -might be as simple as a button on the operation panel, but I'm not a "canon" guy. You can get the manual here if you don't have one:
