Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps

Hp 530 desktop ginen 3 and 4 red lights in start

As far as I can tell this is two errors. One error is that the processor is not plugged in properly. The other is a power supply error.

I suggest taking it to a local computer repair place to have it evaluated. Let them know you believe the power supply is failing which explains the CPU failure.

My hp pavilion desktop pc power cable is plugged in but when I push the power button it does nothing

most of those hps have a light on the back on the power supply that lights when its plugged in but not all. I would try plugging it in on a different outlet to be sure its not a power strip or bad house socket. Make sure if it does try to come on that the power supply fan is turning. I would also take the side cover off and make sure that the wires that plug in the switch have not come loose

When I plug in my HP 530 Green light comes on then turns to amber. Will not come on even when I remove battery and just plug in. 1322dijim@gmail.com

The System / Motherboard has faulty Power Circuit. Contact HP and arrange a repair. If under warranty won't cost anything.

My hp 530 notebook just shut off and it will not come back on. what should i do? i took out the battery and put it nack in, it didnt do anything.

Remove the main battery and plug in the power supply, now try the power button, if it won't work, the DC jack in the computer may be the problem. Plug the power supply into the laptop, now grab the plug and bend it sideways "not to hard" and press the power button repeatedly to see if the laptop will come on, if it does the jack must be resolded back on the motherboard or replaced. If after all this and there is still no change a computer technician will be needed to take it further.

there are several possibilities. 1. replace the ram, make sure that its a good working ram module. 2. review all your work from system board to power supply. 3. try running it temporarily without the cmos battery. 4. check your monitor. 5. check your VGA. 6. retry and retry.

Power/battery problem

hi, try removing the batt press and hold the power down for 1 minute, dont replace battery yet, plug in charger, boot up then shut down. replace battery and boot.
if this fails you could also try changing your power settings in control panel. change to minimal power managment.
remove the adapter while laptop is on and allow to completly drain(untill it switches off)
then try reboot.
