Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
Okay thats the easiest way to describe it, the computer will boot up and run fine when its on the battery but.. once its connected to the charger the screen goes black and it has to be cold booted, it does it without the battery in there and with, so i beleive the problem is in the power management device driver, any help would be appreciated =) thanks.

On most newer laptops from Acer they include a suite of apps called "Acer Empowering Technology" in the eSettings portion of this suite (its identified by a green bar on your desktop) Its very likely that the power mangagement settings controlled by this suite conflict and clash with the ones Windows provides. Your best bet would be to look under the power management settings in the acer apps and see if you can find anything to adjust in there.
