Question about Memorex MMP8565 MP3 Player
Ok so heres the deal, i let my cousin borrow my memorex mmp8565 MP3 player, and he for some reason decided the firmware needed to be updated. so he updated it, and now it will not turn on. i called memorex and they said i have to send it in and pay 30 bucks to fix it. i bought it for 45! when i plug it in, my computer reads it as like STMP 3600. i have the firmware updater on the computer, but when i go into it, it says it found a device in recovery mode, then i get an error. do i need to replace it, or is there something im not doing right?
Just a thought, is it possibly locked?
There is a button on the side with a symbol that looks like a padlock.

Tips for a great answer:
I suggest you update the firmware of the player. The update available
at Memorex web site:
If that does not work, it may be a problem with the player itself. This product has a 90 day warranty and you can call Memorex Product Support at 1-877-363-6673 between noon and 9pm EST if the unit is under warranty.
