Check to make sure fan is moving in correct direction. Check air filter. If your filter was extremely dirty your evaporator might be clogged with a lot of dirt. Check those things and let me know if this helps.

THE FAN IN THE OUTSIDE UNIT IS NOT WORKING. INSIDE UNIT RUNS BUT NO COOL AIR IS COMING OUT OF VENTS. IS THERE A REST BUTTON OLN THE OUTSIDE UNIT?

either the fan has went out or the capisitor for the fan is bad and needs to be replaced.if you have run the outside unit very long without the fan turning you might be replacing the compressor as well as the fan or capisitor.if the fan isnt pulling air through the cond coil outside, the compressor gets very hot very fast, and it locks down(burns up). get it looked at asap before it cost more because of other broken parts caused by the fan not working.

An air flow obstruction seems to be keeping the air from the fan, from reaching any of of the vents. Is there a main air flow door that could be jammed, keeping the air from diverting to wherever the...

There is a vent door that switches the intake air from outside air to inside air. (fresh vs recirculating). The vent door in some dodges break and fall down over the vent air intake, just above the fan. You can take the three fan motor screws out and reach up inside. You should be able to feel the broken vent door laying, covering the intake hole. You can try to tape it up, screw it up, or some other way of fastening it in place. I tried tape, but here in az, the heat got to it and it fell back over the intake hole. I removed it entirely. Now I cannot select fresh or recirc, but it blows hard again. The alternative is paying the dealer 700-900 to repair it. Good luck.

My outside a/c condensing unit's fan runs, but inside vent air is not cold. compresser may not be running. inside vent air was cold last week. Janitrol ckj361ab is model # of outside unit.

Start the unit and go outside to see if the insulated pipe is sweating or cold, hot air should be discharging from top of outside unit. Since the breaker is not tripping, my best guess is the compressor is not operating. You might have to replace the capacitor.

If you can hear the compressor operating, then most
likely needs refrigerant

The fridge works but the freezer, while cold, does not freeze

Hi, The freezer compartment is (logically) favored for cooling. There is a fan, normally between the back of the freezer compartment and the outside sheet metal that circulates the cooled air from the hidden coils to the refrigerator compartment.
When you hear the compressor is running, look for vents in the back of the refrigerator side and hold some wet fingers in front of these. Under normal circumstances, there should be an easily noticeable flow of air coming from these vents that represents the fridge's share of the cooled air. If there is none or is very little flow, the fan has either slowed (sticky sleeve bearings) or the fan has stopped completely. This isn't a dangerous problem since all modern electric motors are 'impedance protected' meaning that if the motor cannot turn, it still will not get any more than hot, it won't catch fire as they once would.
Thank you!

Heater works but clothes do not dry. Very little air flow from vent

Sounds as if there is something (lint buildup maybe) that is blocking the air flow inside this machine. You need to remove the top and front of this machine so you can view in internal working parts. Clean it out the best you can and also remove the rear cover and check where the fan blade is located and this general area. I have seen rats nests built inside the tubes that will block air flow and create a fire hazard.

Air feels cool, but not blowing enought air

I worked at a Dodge dealership for a while and 9 out of 10 times this is due to the recirculation door being broken, allowing hot air from outside to enter the cab of the truck. The dashboard will need to be removed to access the area.

Fan inside the house comes on and cool air comes thru vent but fan on outside compressor wont come on is is the capcitor

It could very well be the capcitor. If you have a duel capcitor (1 cap. that is used for both the fan & the compressor) the compressor may not run either. First and easieast try the capcitor. If thats not it and the compressor is running & all wires look ok than its probebly the fan motor.
Hope this helps;

Not Cooling

Yes, the compressor might not be running. Possibly a bad run capacitor or maybe burnt wires on the contactor or compressor flags.
