Hi Ted I found this site which may help, not sure how safe it is though! however, I pasted the web address into the Norton web check page and it came back safe.

During the manual search I also found a recall regarding the battery which you may want to check at the following link:

Its not opening the page and its reading 404 not found

A 404 error means the URL you are searching for is not accessible. Check your spelling to make sure the address is correct. If your 100% positive the web address is correct, there file may have been removed from the host server.

I keep on getting 404 error. URL \-7890*sfxd*0* how do I fix this

How To Fix the 404 Not Found Error

  1. Retry the web page by pressing F5, clicking the refresh/reload button, or trying the URL from the address bar again.

The 404 Not Found error might appear for several reasons even though no real issue exists, so sometimes a simple refresh will often load the page you were looking for.
  2. Check for errors in the URL. Often times the 404 Not Found error appears because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to the wrong URL.
  3. Move up one directory level at a time in the URL until you find something.

For example, if www.web.com/a/b/c.htm gave you the 404 Not Found error, move up to www.web.com/a/b/. If you get nothing here (or an error), move up towww.web.com/a/. This should lead you toward what you're looking for or at least confirm that it's no longer available.

I can't connect to youtube. I get this page that just say 404 not found

404 - page not found
1. st check that you didnt mispell the URL: http://www.youtube.com (this happens alot)
2. check your internett conection
3. if your internett is down check if some one else has internett problems (an other computer)
4. If everyting else fails, restart computer, stil problem: restart router.
5. call the phone /internet company

On the company web this page might be blocked if so you can go around on pages like:
http://youtubeproxy.org/ then type the address it will be (alot slower)

404 error not found

The 404 error or "Page not found" is the error page your browser will show you when a web page is temporary unavailable or simply does not exist at all. If you are viewing this page properly lately, then maybe the site is just down or under construction. Wait for some time and try again.

Make sure the address or URL of the page is complete (check the spelling) and make sure that there are no spaces on the address.

Http 404 alarm. will not let me connect to my e-mail address

I am presuming that your email is kept at a web site. since "404" is a http "page not found" error.

1. Can you still get to other web sites ? if yes then
2. Type (carefully) the http address or url into the address bar and press enter. if this worked then
bookmark the page.
If not then the site/page may be blocked your computers firewall or other watcher software or by your system administrator / parent/ tech/ spouse/ friend/.
Or the site is no longer at the address or gone permanently.
3. Try on another computer to establish that it is your computer or get a friend go there.

I need to find out how to secure my router

The best way in my opinion is to put your router behind a linux firewall, such as smoothwall. Any old computer with two network interface cards will work.
A guide to install smoothwall can be found here: http://linux-noob.com/review/smoothwall/express/3/
