Hi i order a phone from ebay customer and she email me said the phone came back broken. said we would get me another iand i said ok i already paid for the phone i email her back but no respone back the phone was paid on the 12.so what do i do

Don't click on any links within the email!!!

This is a standard technique of online fraudsters:

They frighten you into thinking you have committed to spend some money, or have already paid

You then click a link in the email - WHICH LOOKS LIKE THE WEBSITE IT CLAIMS YOU HAVE ORDERED FROM!

This is actually a fake link and you then type in your login details, effectively giving them directly to the fraudsters

You then find that the actual ***** will follow very soon afterwards...

If the suspect email gives details of how you are supposed to have placed the order, then go direct to that online site and check from there (iTunes, eBay, Amazon, etc.)

In Paypal there should be a spot with your transactions. All you need to do is click the transaction details and then about halfway down it should say issue a refund and just go through that and it should get it sent back where its supposed to.

Who do I contact for a refund since this program would not download to my computer. I have already emailed twice about this problem with know respond. If I do no receive a respond within the next 24 hours...


Prior to acquiring product, the retailers contact details either as email phone or mail address should have been provided to customer. In the sitaution where transaction was online, recognising the website from which transaction took places makes contact attaianble. For example, sales on amason, ebay websites as online transaction sites makes possible customer referencing by type searching the site from where an acount would have been created that can be retrieved for modifications. Recognise the website from which transaction was completed to retrive customer details.

Always look at the feedback of the seller. Even if they have high feedback click on the numbers next to their name and see what the last 5 customers said. You will often find that for what ever reason even sellers with literally thousands of feedback just one day goes sour and try to make as much money as possible before closing their doors.

To resolve this now:
1. log in at www.ebay.com
2. Go to my ebay (upper right hand corner)
3. In left tabs find "wWon/Purchased" and click it
4. If you HAVE paid for the product and the $ sign next to the item is filled in then click the drop down arrow next to more options find the option to open a case.
5. from there follow the steps and ebay will try to resolve it.

They will ask you if you want a refund or still want your product. They will try to work with you AND the seller to be fare to both parties. If a solution can't be found and you DID already pay for the product and can prove it then they will close the case in your favor will full refund. Make sure you leave feedback so future buyers know that seller didn't ship product.

Don't be afraid of negative feedback, sellers can only leave neutral and positive feedback, they can NOT leave negative feedback...

Ebay has protections against this. Here is a check list of bonus things you need to do to protect yourself.

*never respond to "ebay" email that doesn't have your user name in it.

*If you get an email asking to update account don't click link in the email, TYPE out ebay.com and go to your inbox THROUGH ebay to verify it is from them, if it wasn't from them then go back to that email and forward it to fraud@ebay.com

*only talk to buyers or sellers through ebay, don't email them directly this way all communication is recorded in the even you have to make a claim, or they make a claim. As long as your honest tracking all communication through ebay will only help you.

*check sellers history, a good rule of thumb, if they are less than 10 feedback, or have a lot of CURRENT negative feedback it might be safe to pay that extra dollar to a different ebayer and have confidence you will receive your product.

Hello There, If you look on ebay, it says only pay by paypal/credit card as you may not get the item by money order/western union. if you paid thru a bank wire then there is really nothing you can do fighting it will probably cost more than you paid for engine.Save all your emails from him if bought tru ebay then contact ebay as well
