Try removing the printer and re-installing it. It sounds like it does not have full communication with the printer. Remove the driver, and reinstall the latest driver from the manufacturers website.

Also you might want to try the printer on another computer to test it. This would confirm if the printer is still in working order.

PS. about the re-filled cartridges, all cartridges have some type of circuit board to them. If the ink is simply refilled, it is possible that the printer is not recognizing the ink and is hanging up there. I would recommend that you try authentic cartridges if re-installing the printer does not work.

My HP Deskjet F380 will only print blank pages. There is plenty of ink left in both cartridges. I've been on the HP help site. It didn't help. It won't photocopy either. It printed the top part...

the body of text of the test page is black ink. From what you describe, the print heads are clogged. Most HPs use cartridges that have the head built in, but if not used for an externded period they can dry up and clog.
Try repeated head cleanings (10 or more) see if any change. If none, try new HP ink cartridges

If you are not using an HP factory new cartridge, then that may be your problem.

Hp 818 print cartridge show incompatible after refill, or show problem with print cartidge. how to use them after refill without any problem

Whoever is doing refill for you should know that HP cartridges have electronic sensors that measure level of ink. They should have procedure with which they either reset the counter or "fool" the cartridge to work after refill.

Basically, you can't do anything yourself.

F380 deskjet - error - refuses to pront

I have this printer with the same problem , worked fine for 1 year, printed over 1600 pages total ( according to the built in HP program that records how many pages I printed and how many times I used the printer) then it stopped printing. The ink cartridges are new, the software is fine, and it says ink levels are good. It physically goes through the motions of printing, loads the paper, makes all the normal sounds it used to and pushes out the paper when it's done - but the page is blank. I did some surfing and read some info that some HP printers are pre-programmed to stop certain functions so you buy a new printer. I know that might sound crazy. How long have you had the printer and how many pages do you think you printed?

Printing problem

Have you tried changing the cartridge or refilling the black and colored ink cartridges?

F380

You are using HP's cartridge with the smallest output . So if you are printing 80 pages of text, you will have a problem by the time you reach 95 or 100 pages. If you are printing in color, you only have 1ml/color. Meaning 3 colors. But in order to print a red, it will combine a magenta and yellow to product 1 color. So 3 colors doesn't mean 3 ml worth of colors. Effectively you may only be able to print 10-20 pages of color then your cartridge is empty. The black cartridge has about 4-5ml of ink. So if you print a lot I suggest you get another printer.

I have experienced this before...
Disconnect the printer and remove the installed drivers, that is to remove the virus-infected file or a corrupt printer driver.

Now re-install the printer and the driver.

Fixya me on this one...
