Ok try to reboot your pc, but if you have already did it try to connect your mouse to other USB port preferably at the USB port at the back of your PC..If still doesn't solve the problem perhaps your mouse already needs a replacement..

The mouse is not longer working. The red light is off. Somethimes the light is red for a few seconds.

Sounds like either there is a bad connection somewhere (inside the mouse or the USB connection) or the batteries need replaced. I'm gonna guess and say that you have already changed the batteries. If so, you will probably just need to get a new mouse since they are relatively inexpensive these days.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Logitech wireless mouse not working

Go to logitech's website and navigate to support/drivers/downloads and look for the exact model of your mouse. You may have to temporarily use a P/S-2 mouse which would have a green connector on it in any case, it would plug into the tower or laptop at the green connection port. The purple one would be for keyboard. If can't do, then borrow someone else's pc and download the driver to a CD or flashdrive then use it to install driver.

Install the driver using the old mouse for now, then just after you give the command to reboot, pull old mouse or the P/S-2 mouse out and plug in the USB wireless device for your wireless mouse at this time. Reboot and should fix.

Your issue is either driver related or defective mouse IR no good (infrared)

I'll point you in the right direction but can't help any further without the exact model# of your w-mouse.

My mouse and keyboard doesnt work.

Uninstall all of the software that you have already installed for the keyboard and mouse. Make sure you disconnect the receiver for the mouse and keyboard first. Then reboot your pc. Once the reboot is complete go ahead and plug in the receiver. You should get a window that opens and asks you to install your software. Go ahead and install it at that time. Then try again to run the connect sequence. If it still doesn't work then you may have either a defective receiver. At that point I would take it back to your point of sale to swap them out.

After rebooting my cpu my mouse stopped working. My cpu does not recognize my mouse? The mouse works because i tried it on a different cpu. what can be causing this?

Did you try to reboot?
Do you have an optical mouse? (if yes: is the red light on?
(Then the mouse is recognized and you must configure your mouse options)
Did you try to connect your USB mouse to another connector?
Or if PS2 connector: Turn of the pc and connect the mouse and power on.
Did you install a new driver? (then uninstall this driver)
Try looking for the most recent mouse driver on the manufacturer site.

Laser mouse just quit working (red light is no longer on, although green connection light is). Keyboard (MX3200) that connects to the same mini receiver still works. Already tried reconnecting mouse...

Sounds like you simply need to replace it as they are pretty finaky to fix. If it was dropped or jarred it may have dislogged the laster out of its holding spot in the mouse. But honestly it probally better off to just replace it.

Flahsing Red Light

Now what you have to do is look for a reset button on your mouse and your wireless mouse signal receiver.
When the receiver and mouse both are on press the reset button on both of them one by one.
This should solve the problem.

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse Not Connecting

After reading on Microsoft about replacing the batteries, down loading drivers and "press the button on the receiver and the connect button the receiver" - I got frustrated and almost gave it flight. Then my wife stepped in and realized that there was a green reset button on the USB connector as well. (who knew?) SO.... you press the green light (which is a button) and release it.... should blink. Then go to THE MOUSE portion and press the connect button for 5 seconds or so.... and wala...... One mouse that plays again! This ones gonna cost me! :) I hope this one works for ya!

Logitech cordless mouse problem

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
