Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. It seems that the firmware got corrupted. Can you check if the computer still detect the player when it is connected, If you can still access the files inside the player? You can check if there is a reset button at the back or at the side of the player try pressing it see it the player will still works.
Please let me know what happen. Thanks

Hi -. The reason why i ask you if the computer can still detect the player is that we can try to update the firmware of the player. If the computer wont be able to detect the player there's no way for us to do that. If the reset button cant fix the issue on your player then it only means one thing, the player is bad. You can check the warranty of the device so that you can send it to the service center free of charge

Computer will not recongnize coby player.

What I have seen it is should show up under the flash drives. The one thing you can try is going to the coby website and downloading the driver for the player. That should fix that your computer is not finding your player. Hope this helps.

Wont play music

You need to go to the coby website (http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=doc) and download the latest version of the firmware and then reload that firmware on your coby player. Make sure you back anything up that you have on it because with you do this you will lose all data on your player.

Cant figure how to put movies on mp3 player and watch them

Hi...

If you want to put movie in your mp3. be sure that you know what is the file type. For example the file type of movie in your mp3 is AVI, so you need yo convert your movie to AVI format, because if it is not an AVI,it wont play because they are not in the same format required

Coby "MP605-4G" not doing anything

Copy mp3 files directly into the root directory. Don't copy them into the other directory's. You then should be able to see the MP3 files on your PC and your player.

Dvd stopped playing in the middle of a movie...

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

Unfortunately, if the player will no longer read any commercial dvd that you attempt to play, the unit is defective and needs to be replaced. Hopefully, since it's brand new, you still have the receipt and can return it to the retailer for an exchange or refund. The unit has a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase. You would need the receipt in order to receive a warranty exchange.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

Dont know what to do

Probably not much help. but the 1st thing I would do is check to see if the disc is even turning...put it in with label straight up, then when it fails, eject...odds are severely against the disc being oriented the same way if it spins, so if it hasn't moved, the main drive motor is bound up or dead. Either way, return it.

The unit won't turn on

We have exact same issue. My husband called Coby. They said if the red light is on & won't go green, the system is junk. Can return to the store or them. We are off to buy a new player and it won't be a Coby!
