Let's start with restart the computer. That usually gets everything glitchy to work again. If that doesn't help, hit me back and we'll dig deeper.

My graphics card was filled with dust so i had to remove it, vacuum it and then i placed it back. But my sound was gone, the computer can't find my speakers, they don't have any driver cd'

You don't need a driver CD for speakers, your sound hardware needs drivers.

Just because you powered down and removed the card does not mean anything should have changed.

Look at your specs for your system and find out what sound hardware you have, then look for the sound in control panel, you might have to set the default to speakers, you can test them.

If you have video, then the graph drivers are ok.

I have connected my dv720 i have no sound and a blue wire a blue and white wire and a beown wire not doing anything should these be connected to something if so what?

The blue/white wire is amplifier remote turn on, so if don't have an amplifier you don't need to worry about it. Just cap it off so it doesn't short to anything. I'm not completely sure, but I think the brown wire may be a phone mute wire. You don't necessarily need it either. If you have no sound, you may want to check your speakers and speaker wires for any shorts, grounds or bare spots.

I have a Kodak EasyShare CD82 Digital Camera, I can make a video, but I can't get the sound on, How can I get the sound on

From the manual:

NOTE:Sound cannot be played on the camera. Sound is heard after the video is transferred to your computer.

If you're not hearing anything on the computer, make sure you have the speakers turned on and the volume turned up high enough.

Hi Haley,
I also enjoy good Music and excellent sound from my speakers that i have and know what you going through. There is two problems that i see here. One is that your bass speakers is dying on you from the excess bass that has been exerted throught it or have you tried lowering the adjusting bass from the contol panel?
Try adjusting the bass and if that doesnt work aleast you've identified your problem.
Thanks Haley for using Fixya.Good Luck.

Even though the speakers are plugged in,turned on, and at full volume, there is no sound. The speaker itself still works because when I plugged in my ipod, sound still played. The speakers only don't...

First we need to check if we rightfully plug the speaker in it,s rightful socket at the back of your computer. There are three sockets one is for the mic the other one is for the speaker and lastly the input socket. the green socket is it's rightful place. So now we can proceed, make sure that you have a proper sound driver for your computer. If it is still not installed, we really cannot hear anything from the speaker that we just plug in. Try to re-install your motherboard drivers, especially the sound driver for *********** board. If you don't have an installation disk, then try to buy or acquire a driver magician installation disk it is available at any software stores. After you installed driver magician, it will automatically detect any missing drivers that your motherboard needs. Try downloading each one by pressing download and driver magician will automatically search the web and download it for you. All you got to do is install them. I respectfully hope that this would solve your problems. Have a nice day friend.

Why wont my computer recognize my speakers? My computer is gateway with windows vista on it. In my device manager it has a caution sign but the logitech website says the speakers dont need drivers. Please...

Those speakers are meant to just plug into a sound card or onboard sound device or any sound device that has headphone jacks e.g. iPod. They don't provide feedback to the PC, so there is absolutely no need for drivers, which is why you don't see them in device manager. Think of them as a glorified pair of headphones.

Hi ! I have a Pioneer AV receiver VSX-D710S and i have a problem with sound ! At the maxim volume (0db) the sound it's verry low an when i make volume ajustments i heard in speakers some knoking !...

The first thing you need to do is to disconnect all the speakers.

Then connect them one at a time and see if you get the correct volume on any of them.

If you don't get the correct volume on some of the speakers then it's those speakers that are faulty.

If you don't get the correct volume on any of the speakers then the fault is with the internal amplifier and you'd need to take it to get it repaired.

I hooked up the boston speakers 4 plus wolfer and when I play music on You Tube, the rear speakers don't play. They work in the sound "test." They also work when I set the speakers...

the sound on utube is only stereophonic, hence you will get only stereo putput. If you play anything recorded as quadraphonic or above all your speakers will give sound output.
