The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

You possibly can still order a recovery cd set from manufacturer at a cost assuming warranty has expired

SOURCE: I need more speed
Well, thats no problem, and its easy doen...BUT i recomend you to start with upgrade the memory. In the spec of your laptop it says that there is 512mb memory, and that your laptop supports 4gb of memory. Im sure that you will need ever mb of that max memory if you want to run a cad program on your laptop, you need the memory more then you need the differns betwin 1,83 and 2,4 cpu that you want. Best is for sure t upgrade both to max, but if you have to choise one, take the memory!
Here is all you want to know about your laptop, including all avalible drivers (if you need any)
Good luck to you

SOURCE: Restore Original Configuration
If you have not yet found time to call Toshiba and get the recovery CD you may try the following:
1. Reboot you system
2. Press F1 (immediately you get options to press F2 and F12)
3. Press F8 (this will give you more options including system recovery)
Please ignore if you already have the CD. Having the CD is the best as previously said.
The step above have helped me many times to avoid doing factory system restore. I hope it helps you or someone else.

Two things to try, install service pack 3 for xp, and go to the Toshiba website look up your laptop and see if they fave drivers that are compatible with xp sp2 or sp3. Hope you find what you looking for and this info helps. GL
