Nintendo ds lite problem

My son's ds has started turning off in the middle of playing even though the battery is fully charged and the light is green. Even after a full charge this is the case. This is not specific to one game. After he turns it back on it works fine until it turns off again.

If it has been drop a lot and had a part broken you may need a new DS because some wires have snapped

When i try to power on my son's DS Lite, the red light is on, and both screens power on for about 2-3 seconds max and then the system shuts off. It also wont charge when connected to the wall.

You may need to get a replacement battery pack when the battery is below 30% the light will turn red, the battery requires 4 hours to charge, and when the battery is fully charged the amber colored light will turn off. If you still need to purchase a new battery contact nintendo cust serv at 800-255-3700 or you can order online at nintendo.com You will need a #00 philips screw driver to remove the battery cover, install the battery with the 2 tabs in first, close compartment and allow battery to fully charge before use. The average battery will last for about 500 charges. Hope this helps

Well the reason behind that is if you left it plugged on all night it will take some battery life

My son's nintendo ds won't come on even though it is fully charged. The light turns green then it just turns off.

This situation is most likely battery related. When a rechargeable battery is used, each charge, the capacity is slightly decreased. I would strongly recommend getting a new battery.

DS will not turn on

Is it still under warranty? you can go to Nintendos website, type in the serial number from the back of your DS lite and see if it is covered. The warranty is 1 year. Give it a try. They offer Fed-ex shipping (prepaid).

DS keeps turning off randomly

Maybe the Ds gets overheated if you play on it too much I suggest that you should leve it for a bit.

DS lite, power is on but nothing happens

Ditto... except my daughter is 10. Both screens remain black, are fully charged and green light stays on for more than 4 minutes.

Ds lite

You never want to play the DS while it's charging, if constsntly persisted it can cause a form of battery leak.

IMPORTANT: Don't charge the DS until it dies on you completely!

When charging the DS the system will display a red light to show it's at its lowest energy, the time it takes to fully charge a DS can take up to 2-3 hours. In the second hour of charging the light will appear green but you don't want to disturb it until the light goes off. ( showing it's energy is full )
