I just got a small hand held vivitar dvr 51on night vision camera and some how the mute function is on and there is no button with MUTE. The software it came with will not load on any of my computers ( I have 5 ) so i can't view instruction manual to turn the mute function off... please help.

I got the setup program from DriverGuide. It's not installing for me though. It says I need to be signed in as "Administrator" to change some files. Thing is, I am signed in as admin. So if anyone knows where to get just the .inf please pass it along.

Try using a SD card then removing it from the camera and put it in your card reader. Go to My computer click on the "removable disk" or whatever it shows up as and click on the folder/subfolders till you find your images.

Could this be the read/write switch on your sd card?

Personally I need an XP driver for this camera (webcam).

Please access the Camera Assistant Software:
a. On the task bar double-click the Camera Assistant Software icon , or from the Windows Start menu, point to All Programs, Camera Assistant Software, and then click Camera Assistant Software. The Camera Assistant Toolbar location briefly displays on the desktop.
b. On the Camera Assistant Toolbar, click the Start Camera button and click on the icons on the software.
NOTE: If you are not hearing the audio portion of the video you created, try the following: Verify that you do not have the audio capture muted. An X appears on the Mute button when Mute is selected.
Click the Functions button, and then click the Audio tab. In the Audio Output section, verify that the Digital Mic is selected from the Audio Device drop down list, and then click Apply. In the Audio Volume section, use the slider bar to increase the volume level. Verify that the notebook's volume is not muted. Pressing the Fn&End keys mutes the volume. Pressing the keys a second time restores the volume. Increase the notebook volume level by pressing the Fn&PgUp keys.

I am using the AT8560 remote and my mute function does not work. Can you help me?

Ur tv mute button might not be function anymore,because of rubber inner layer are worn out or the main CPU chip of the remote itself it shorted causes this problems.U have a Digital Camera,turn it on.Put the tv remote wright in front of the camera press the remote mute button,u will see on the camera viewing screen the mute button work or not wright away because Digital camera can read infer red signal output.Try website like Remotes.com to buy a new original remote or a very closed compatible one.

Recorded videos are black and white, no color

..I have the same problem. Have no idea why . Now I cant get the movies onto the quickflix screen to download . Might have just got ripped off . Was toooooo cheap . Next time Im investing in a more expensive camera!....Lisa
