Thank you for using FixYa
This seems to be a common problem and different solutions are seen for different setups.
It may not be your equipment at all and instead my be an issue with your ISP. Sometimes this cause will correct itself, given a few days.

If it persists, then check you drivers for the router and be sure they are up to date.
Be sure you have done all you operating system updates.
Try turning off your firewall and see if that makes any difference? (Caution: this may make you to open for attacks)

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

Have a D-Link 615 Router. Seems when one of us in on the Wifi, the other is unable to access the Wifi. Both of us have I-Pads. Why can't we access together? We used to about a week ago. What do

You should be able to , that begs the question, is youe ISP "throttling" the signal? Is there a problem with the equipment. inside or outside? Have you checked ALL cables, reseated ALL connections, rebooted the ISP Modem, the wireless device? Is the wireless Secured? As you move about the house is that when you lose connection? If you are sitting next to the D-Link will it stay connected? It may be outside? Contact your ISP and have them analyze the signal, have a ISP tech come out and analyze.

Cannot connect tablet to WiFi

I've looked up the device, there seems to be a consensus of people having difficulty with this tablet connected to secure WiFi, as in WiFi that has a password to connect.

You could try to turn off the password requirement on your WiFi to see if this is true, but I wouldn't recommend doing this in the slightest.

Frankly, I'm not sure why this would be in any android device.

I would recommend trying to change the encryption of your router's WiFi and see if that helps any, and it wouldn't hurt to turn off your WiFi's password, see if it works or not, then turn it immediately back on again.

You would have to consult your router's documentation if you're unsure of how to do this.

D-LINK DI-524 coverage Issue

You can reboot ALL the devices . Unplug the Modem, remove battery, Unplug the D Link. Install battery in Modem, plug into AC, allow the device to selftest, plug in D Link allow it to self test. Reboot computer. Have you secured the wireless? Changed Channels for better signal? Take a look at this: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/setup/wirelesstips.aspx#fbid=nZTFiYrDLMg

Why do I need to restart the router every single day. I lose all connection daily and have to restart it and then reconnect.

It's not the router. You have to turn off WiFi protected setup. Go to Advanced/WiFi protected setup/Uncheck Enable.I went through months of calling tech support and even replaced the unit thinking it was faulty. Works like a CHARM!

Just bought a D-Link wireless router (DIR-655). I have a static IP, so config using static IP info. Wireless works and 1 desktop works. However, main desktop can't get internet. I can ping router and...

I have the same D-Link Wireless Router and I can't say that I have run into this before.
Mine seemed to work from day one without any problems. I also purchased the D-Link adapter cards for a laptop and for my desktop that are located in other rooms.

Maybe, try a different version of IE to get it to access. I don't use Firefox, that much, so I didn't notice that firefox worked better or worse on my WiFi network.

Maybe try to shut off the broadband modem and the wifi router and the computer and then reboot all three to make sure that that's not the problem.

Also try to reset the router.

Good luck on figuring this one out.

Thomson TG585v7 keeps rebooting periodically. This happens approx. three to four times a day

Thomson Router rebooting - I am in N.Z. and have the exact same Thomson Wireless Router, TG585v7, Software version 7.4.2.7. My previous D-Link Wireless router never gave me any trouble, as soon as I installed the Thomson, I kept losing connectivity. I could watch it rebooting in front of me, all lights off, restart and reconnect. I complained to my ISP who sent me another - exactly same problem. We were away for a week and it never rebooted once. I started wondering about Wifi devices , we use an HP Ipaq (it won't connect at all to the Thomson but will to other Acess Points) - have turned Ipaq off for days on end to eliminate but Router still rebooting several times a day. My wife has an Apple IPod and it seems "perhaps" it's when that is charging that we have problems. We are working through that isolation now, I'd be interested to know if you have other wireless enabled equipment - could even be a neighbour's unit interfering.

Cheers

Router reboot too often needed?

Try testing it using a differrent router and monitor the connection period of that router during the week. If you still experiencing the same problem using the tes router. It indicates that it may be a adsl line related problem.
