If it is the door switch then why does it still work in mircowave mode.....in mircowave mode the unit heats up, turn table turns around and the light works, but in convection mode the oven turns on to pre heat the turn table turns the light comes on, but it does not heat up it stops after a short time say 2 mins and it displays a code F2.... would like to confirm your solution.

Hi

If everything else is working fine then it seems the issue is with the door switch, if this switch is bad control senses that the door is still open and so won't heat. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I agree that the unit heats up, however, this should not be happening. F2 error code means door lock failure, please check the door switch wiring. If wiring seems to be fine then replace the door switch assembly. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

If you tested the switch as given in this link then it seems that the issue is with the control board

Cooking temp to bake cake inn convection mode samsung model

Hi I guess you are cooking usng the combination setting? if so The cake will be hard due to increased microwave energy, I would suggest reducing the microwave energy on the Samsung unit when using the combination setting.

Hope this helps

The unit works fine, but the plastic frame around the control pad is broken, just above the door open button. Where can I get a replacement part, and how do you get that frame off of there?

you must take it to a approved Sharp engineers, who will give you aprice for replacement.
This is due to m/waves holding charge inside even when you have unplugged it and may give a electric shock unless you know what you are doing

The mircowave has no power, outlet works, just mirco strop workin

HI, the popping sound that you herd was the result of a failed HV capacitor. This failure will render the unit inoperable, as you has witnessed at this time. Replacing this failed HV capacitor, will correct this issue. I would also advise to check the cut-off fuse and in-line AC fuse as well. There may be some issues concerning the integrity of these fuses as well.
