I have the Denon 2900 (about 4 years of use) and until recently, suffered from the same (growing) problem. CD's were very difficult to start/read. I recently found advice which I tried and was succesful with. It was manually cleaning the laserlens. I took away the outer housing by unscrewing all off the on top (6), side (4) and the back (2) bolts. After that I took out the top plate of the laserunit which took two very little screws taking out. Now you are looking at the cd-tray with the lens. Take a very soft and clean cloth and moisten it a little bit with clean water (be very carefull with the moistening, don't allow any waterdrop to come out of the cloth into the laserlens while cleaning! Carefully clean the lens and dry it with a dry part of the same cloth. Replace the top plate and the outer housing and the player will recognize the discs like it's new again. Good luck! Here's how I've solved same symptoms with our NS -PDVD8a:
1. Cleaned laser optics with isopropyl alcohol/swap --make sure you let the optics dry/IPA evaporate from the optics before running
2. Using compressed air can--cleaned laser track
3. Gently move laser along track several times - it seems laser is having most trouble at start of disc -- not sure it needs lubrication, but running it along track several times seems to have righted it
Had to do this a couple of times, but it's working now -- expect I will need to do this again -- no idea how long fix will work.

SOURCE: I just doesn't load/read CD's.
I had the same problems with my four year Denon DVD-3910 and the only solution to it was to replace the laser unit with a new one.
There are some repair service on EBay that offer new laser units for only about 50 € and are also willing to change the laser unit for an extra charge of just 30 €.
After this replacement your Denon DVD-3910 will work fine again.

Please check weather you have inserted the disc ,whose format is supported by your KOSS player.
If the formatt is not been supported /regonised by the player,It shows as NO DISC only.
check with some other disc which you previously played. If it plays the disc which you using has the problem.
