Vanished pictures recovery

Hi, I have this camera and the weirdest thing happened. The memory had about 30-50 pictures and Today when I took some pictures and I checked, the memory only contained today's pictures and the rest of the pictures are gone.

Can anyone please help me fix this picture because I need to recover them.

Thank you in advance!

First do not panic! It is possible to recover your pictures if you take care. Take the card from the camera (powered off) and if it has a "write protect" tab then lock it now. Do not try and write anything to the card or you risk causing more problems.

You can either plug in you camera to the PC as it should appear as a “Removable Drive” or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Next, if you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a FREE utility that will recover your photos from the following link:

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

If you need something a little more "user friendly" then you will need to buy the software. If you search the web for photo recovery software you will find many.
One I have used successfully is RescuePro that used to be bundled with some Sandisk products. Now you can get it from the link below:

http://www.lc-tech.com/software/prwindetail.html.

You can try the demo to see what you can recover before buying.

Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to the card until you can recover your pictures to your PC safely!

Please take a moment to rate this solution & let us know if the information given was useful to you – Good Luck!

How do I retrieve pictures after they have gone missing from my card?

So the pics vanished from the memory card, right? Perhaps you can insert the card to your computer and try a photo recovery tool on it. Give this app a try if you're a Mac user. Recover Digital Photo Music and Video on Mac OS

Took pictures yesterday but cannot find them today

Don't do anything with the camera, till you sure they are not on the card. If someone did delete them or formatted the memory card they don't need to be lost.

If you have a memory card reader, please put the memory card in and connect it to the computer. Then use some recovery software, to check you (someone else?) did delete them by accident or even worse, formatted the memory card.
If a recovery program can find one or more pictures, you can recover them too.

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones. Now after you've recovered your photos, consider formatting the card in the camera to prevent this from happening again.

You problem set your camera to use internal memory only. Set the memory function to memory card only and all pictures will go to the memory card until it is full. You can probably still transfer your pic files from internal memory to your card.

Picture Error

Hi, It is possible that the memory of your camera got corrupted. You can try and format the memory and see if it will clear any errors and make the memory (card) available for use of the camera. Should you want to try and recover any images stored in the memory card, it has to be a removable one that you can plug in to a card reader attached to a PC. Run data recovery software to hopefully recover whatever you can from the memory. You can also format the memory with your PC and use a disk checking utility to check for any other errors. Thereafter, if things are ok, it will be ready for use of the camera. Hope this be of some use to you. Post back how things went or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.
