Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: got a new computer and cannot get yahoo mail shortcut set up

If I have understood the question correctly, it should be quite easy.

Obviously you need to have set up an account before a shortcut can be created, assuming you have done this for your parents already, please follow the directions below.

Firstly, Visit the Yahoo home page. Click the link that says "Mail."

When the next page opens it will either be the login page, or if you have logged in before and saved your password, you'll go right to your webmail.

When the login page opens, simply right click your mouse and select "Create Shortcut."

Your computer will tell you 'a shortcut will be created on your desktop' click ok.

You should now have a suitable desktop shortcut direct to the Yahoo login screen.

You can then rename the shortcut whatever you want by right clicking the mouse again, on the shortcut, and selecting rename. You could type, Freds Email or something. Hope this helps.

Cannot access my yahoo. no problem connecting to internet but when I try to connect to Yahoo via my short-cut on my screen, it won't connect. ????

For this issue we will have to unistall yahoo completely from the system which means that even registry entries should be deleted however lets do it this way go to control pannel then to add remove programs , unistall all the yahoo programs from the system , and reinstall it fresh , this should resolve the issue as some times due to some currpt files it happens .

You may have saved the short cut without the User Name and Password typed in your Yahoo Email Log On page. (And it's unable to log on).

Try creating a new short cut and make sure that info is included on the short cut icon.

How do i retrieve yahoo mail icon?

Hi edmonyo2000
You can make a yahoo icon on the desktop as follows:
  • Right Click at an empty area of the Desktop
  • Select (left Click) New Short cut from the popup menu
  • Type in the website address in the box. It would be like: www.yahoo.com OR www.yahoo.com.au
  • Click on Next
  • Type in a User friendly name for the Icon
  • Click on Finish
Now you will have a Yahoo Icon on your desktop
Test it
Hope this will work for you.
If it is helpful, please give a rating

Hi,

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic (Old Yahoo), on your Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link. A confirmation dialog box will now open, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

For more details, click on this link:
