If you are refering to the light inside the oven, I dont think there is a problem with wattage as the oven is rates to high wattage
and it is also inside the oven, so in an area that can cope with heat.

if possible check remove the old bulb and check the wattage on the glass or on the side of the fitting.

I personally would recommend that a 40W should be suitable.

I hope this was useful

What is the power requirement for installing a Simpson 2001 66-647 thermaflow freestanding oven?

For Electric Range - 220 - 240 volt, 60 hertz, properly grounded circuit with 40 amp breaker or fuse protection with #8 gauge wire. With a 50 amp breaker, # 6 gauge wire is required.

The owner's manual below mentions the wattage. (download the document, hit CTRL-F on your keyboard, type in wattage.) You might contact the manufacturer or for that matter the electric company servicing you.

In the last 4mths I have had to replace my large oven bulb 5 times.

I assume you are fittimg the correct wattage bulb, and most importtantly fitting one that is able withstand at least 300c , if you are not, then this could be the reason for high bulb failure rate, also make sure that the bulb holder contacts are clean

Cant remove glass cover to replace bulb on Simpson La Stella Atlas series oven

I have a Simpson Atlas Mira. Was having a hard time getting the glass cover off too so looked on the net for a solution. Couldn't find one so I persevered and sorted it...
The glass cover has a screw-off thread (like a glass jar) which unscrews anti-clockwise (lefty loosey). I had to give it a good few wiggles and pulls before it would start unscrewing. I also had to use a damp towel to get a proper grip - it's a slippery little bugger - but I got it in the end!
Hope this helps someone - good luck!

Replace light bulb

Hello. Unscrew the bad bulb. It unscrews in a counter clockwise fashion. Get a new oven bulb, of the same wattage at home depot or most hardware stores. J.

I don't know what wattage I need for the bulb

You can fit a 15 or 25 watt bulb, as long it it is the correct thread, and it is able to withstand 300 degree temperature.
This is very important, otherwise it will blow with the heat.
Hope this helps.

Check for a loose bulb or faulty door switch. Sometimes a bulb can fail and the filament can reconnect to work at a higher wattage before failing completely.
